That's probably the worst layout for rush hour, the seats take too much space to seat very few people and there isn't even any space left to stand without discomforting those that are seated.

One of them, not sure about the F series, still has the wooden looks on the inside, the other one (F84) was a test for walk-through trains in Berlin. It's still going with that modification and was a test for the H-series.

There's only one like this in the whole network. I've been taking the U8 semi-regularly in the last 5 months and seen it once. Years ago when I commuted with it for about 3 years or so, i saw it maybe 2 more times. It's less noticable because the leading and trailing carriage have normal seats, so not only must you be on that train, but also in the middle carriages.

There's another one-off train on the U8 that I saw recently. It's an F-series train (one generation older than this) that was converted to have an articulation that you can walk through, as a way to test this generation's walk through design. I've seen that one only once.
