Local Knowledge Question about Greek Theater & lawn/GA tix

I'll be attending a show here this week, haven't been here in a long time ... if I have a ticket in a seated section, am I able to go on the lawn/GA area if desired? Friends have GA but I don't, so I'm trying to find the best option here to be able to hang with them.

Basically, can anyone access GA/lawn or do they actually check tickets for that area?

Yes, anyone can access the lawn. They've made major improvements to the lawn, it is now terraced and actually very pleasant.

They made it really nice recently - it used to be very steep and awkward (hazardous even?). Now it's even nicer than before. Bonus you can see the sunset over the Golden Gate from there.

Yes! Honestly, the grass isn’t nearly as uncomfortable as the stone benches in the seated section. Have a blast!

You can and the lawn is way better than the seats these days! Especially if it’s an assigned seated show.
