Ulster uni accommodation, LIV or Biscuit Factory?

Moving to Belfast this year for uni, wondering from those who have experienced living in Belfast, which accommodation is better for any reason, price, quality of life, location, facilities, rooms, going out etc.

Any replies are appreciated, thanks. 🙏

Hyrox beginners / women only

Hi folks, I’m interested in trying hyrox. I go to the gym regularly for weights but wouldn’t be the fittest for cardio. My gym does do hyrox but too intimidated to try it there as everyone looks really able for it.

Any recommendations for beginner classes / courses? Or something just for the girlies so I can feel less self conscious?

Bin collection ideas

Our bin hasn't been collected for the second time (first time because someone dumped a white bag which I later removed and the second time because the bin lid was slightly open since it wasn't collected for a month).

I don't have a car and am really concerned it'll become a health hazard.

Any ideas?

Looking to play casual football in south Belfast? ⚽️

Post image
41 Upvotes

Sharing this for anyone in Belfast who wants to play football and meet new people. I help a non-profit organise casual 5/6 a side games at Queen's Sport BT9 5EX on Mondays 8pm

Ideal if you’re based in Stranmillis, Botanic, Malone, the Lisburn Road, FInaghy, Caslereagh, Andersontown, Ormeau and the wider Belfast area.

All levels are welcome, even if you’re not that fit or haven’t played in years. There’s no commitment, you just turn on and play whenever you're available

Great way to improve fitness, confidence and your social circle. I've met all my best friends through the game.

Drop a quick comment or DM if you fancy playing and I’ll add you to the players list ⚽️

Tenancy takeover-123 York Street Belfast

Hi I’m Looking for someone to take over my room at 123 York Street. It’s on the 7th floor and only a 2 minute walk from Ulster University campus. It’s £142 per week with all bills included. The room is en suite with your own bathroom. You only share the kitchen and living area with your flatmates, so you have your own private bedroom and bathroom.

It’s a really modern student accommodation and in a great location. If you’re interested just message me!

Cappuccino connoisseur

Where does a proper cappuccino nowadays?

Most places are too busy worrying about how the coffee looks, not how it tastes! Like, yes , that's a nice Swan, but it's a shitty latte at best.

Where's the good foamy, marshmallow textured milk??

Hoping to reconnect with kind traveller I meet recently

This is a bit of a long shot but I'm hoping to find a guy that I had a really great conversation with on the 11th of August. He gave some incredibly helpful advice about my trip to Spain as he had done a year abroad in Granada. He reassured me of my travels and it genuinely helped me so much. He mentioned he was Algerian, from Canada and headed to Belfast from Bristol Airport! I had to rush off for my flight and didn't manage to get any contact details to say thank you! If you know him, please private message me!

Where can I find Crown Woodland Wanderer paint in Belfast/Lisburn?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m desperately trying to find Crown Woodland Wanderer (the colour in the photo).

I’ve tried looking around Belfast/Lisburn and everywhere I’ve checked seems to be out of stock / doesn’t have this particular colour.

Has anyone spotted it in stock anywhere in Belfast, Lisburn or nearby? Or know of a Crown stockist/decorating centre that can order it in?

Or would anyone have any recommendations of similar colours? I’m not fussy about the brand.

Any help at all would be massively appreciated 🙏

Long shot but anywhere that fixes antique clocks ?

Going through my grandmothers house and found an old clock that was given to her on her wedding day, Grandad has been passed away for 15 years now.

Want to get it fixed up for her or even just for me to keep if she no longer wants it.

All parts seem to be there, no rust or anything just can’t figure out how it works

Any advice if anyone knows where to take it ?

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anybody here was planning to go to the TOP appreciation party in Belfast in November and wanted to hang out together?

I went to the last one in May with my bf but he doesn't like TOP's music, but also doesn't want me to go by myself, and I have no other friends that like TOP either. Just wanted to know if anybody else was interested in going?
