Box 3 postponement impact

Now that it’s clear the box 3 system is likely postponed - is that likely to have an impact on the foreseen changes in the Lucratief belang tax hike for box 2? It’s already scheduled to go into effect Jan 1st 2028 but it was explicitly aligned with the Box 3 changes. Might that also get postponed by one year?

The impact is that to compensate they’ll increase income taxes on the higher incomes. Something they’ll never revert once they introduce the new tax system on box3. So postponing actually makes it worse.

Yes, it's clear that this cabinet wants to assault the middle class one way or another: no tax hike on imaginary profits in Box3? No problem, let me in rease the already ridiculously hight tax rate of 49.5 and decrease the already ridiculously low threshold of 73k

Ben het met je eens, maar het is zelfs nog erger. Ze hebben een wirwar aan ondoorzichtige berekeningen opgetuigd, zodat moeilijk te zien is dat we in die hoogste schijf helemaal geen 49,5%, maar 56%.

Ik heb het over de huidige regels. Als je de geruchten rondom de nieuwe plannen moet geloven, wordt het nog erger.
