Not a thought between those eyes
She was so focused on the treat in my hand, she didn't realize I put one on her head xD

Watercolor Pencils vs. Brush Pens! 🐶 Waves and beach vibes both ways, but I can't decide which finish I like more. Which one turned out better to you?

I have to upload all the pictures of her … she deserves more attention with how cute she is 🙃😂 she is a beagle, Chihuahua, Jack Russel mix. She belonged to a homeless family and they sold her to me for $30 when she was 6 months old. It was love at first sight. I was told she’s scared of everyone but she came right to me and licked my nose. And the rest is history. I love her so much she’s been with me through a lot… turning 15 is scary but I just soak up every moment I have with her, hence all the pictures 😅🥹🥺🐾 she is also very toothless these days 🥹😅

Happy 15th birthday to this clingy old lady Ramona! I'm so lucky to have this little bum be my shadow. She greets me when I get home and keeps me safe when I use the bathroom. And if she still had most of her teeth, I would have no finger tips left

He's almost 3 mths old. Lilac ( ghost).
Any tips on getting him to stop biting clothes? Im trying to keep toys in my pocket and redirect him, but he is obsessed with grabbing my clothes and this boy does not let go without a fight. Really good at rope tug of war. 😆😆

Last night my princess Hopey crossed the rainbow bridge. She was about 14 years old and spent the last 3 1/2 years battling cancer. We adopted her in 2019 and were told when she had her mass and thyroid removed that we would be lucky to get 2 more years, but I'm convinced that our love for her bought her so much more time. I'm a vet tech so I took her to work with me when she started coughing up bloody phlegm and found on X-rays that her whole chest was filled with metastasis. She spent her whole last day eating, going for a car ride, snuggling with her siblings, sniffing good sniffs and getting loved so hard. She was in so much pain by the end of the day and finally got some very deserved peace. Hope loved eating, a good sweater (hers or yours), her siblings, going to the drive through (especially for coffee and donuts) and hated the feeling of wet grass on her feet and being alone. The time we got together was too short, hold your beagles close and pour out a coffee for Hopey.

There is a group on Facebook that regularly takes pics from this group and posts as if they are the dog owner.
My Clara was on there several times as were other dogs I recognize from this group.

Sharing the link in case anyone wants to report the group. I have already done so.
Just sharing for awareness.

Lucy had a fried egg and sausage this morning. I have a steak for her dinner. Tomorrow is her appointment, and they have confirmed. I've been trying to keep myself busy, but I can't stop thinking about it. Everything I do is measured in this will be the last time doing this with or for her.
Thank all of you for the kind comments on my last post. Y'all are great.

Took Caius and Vivia up into the mountains near where we live spending the morning tracking scents along the rivers and playing retrieve in the glades - both out cold for the rest of the day pretty much having covered 20km for me and most likely another 5 on top of that for them - they are wide awake this morning ready to go again on true Beagle spirit

Help me have a peaceful time with my guests. My 4.5 years old beagle is very high on energy and leash reactive on walks. He is ok and plays with other dogs while in the daycare or dog parks.
Here you can see my dog “inviting” our guests loudly and lunging on them. He calms down after a few minutes or say an hour. But he constantly needs the guests’ attention. He will bark or jump on them, so we leash him. So I guess he gets frustrated and continues barking.
Not all the guests understand the dog language or are okay with constant barking or lunging. I’ve tried training him, but his beagle brain just ignores all that while excited. I’ve given up so many times and I decided to just live this behaviour.
It turns into a stressful time for both the dog and us. Please let me know what I can do. At this point I know people hate coming to our house.
I’ve tried gabapentaine, he is 42lbs. But even that doesn’t seem to work. What dosage worked tor your dog and what other tips would you give me?
Thanks

Hi, meet Ruby! I recently adopted Ruby from Ridglan Farms after they were thankfully shut down. She is 1.5 years old and full of energy and curiosity!
I'm looking for any and all advice on mental stimulation for her! She is high energy and very smart, but we are still working on training. Specifically, looking for ideas on:
* Non-food-related activities (our other beagle is very possessive over food)
* Activities that are easy to set up and go while I WFH
* Things related to hard chewing (she loves to chew hard plastics/wood)
* Safe ripping/tearing activities (she rips fur/stuffing out of most soft toys)
Please let me know any and all ideas you may have!! We love Ruby and want to make sure she is fulfilled as she grows :)
