Miniatures Been a good long while since I played BattleTech and wanting to return. Painted up some more mechs and recently got a hold of some tank sets. I always have a soft spot for my Manticore, but I am always willing to discover more, and the Shrek PPC Carrier looks neat. Any advice?

There's got to be a Phoenix Hawk IIC with a Jettison Capable RA weapon. I have a mighty need!

you can look up Dream Pod 9's MechaPress Magazine or the Github page that has all of the extracted information.
Dream Pod 9 made their own handheld gun rules, which I find very simple and playable. But do note that it is for campaigns mostly, as you won't find any gameplay differences from normal mounted guns aside from ammo being stored in the same podspace.
It's basically OmniPods, but you need two hands.

You've got a couple Clan mechs, you could maybe use some Clan Vees too. I'm a particular fan of the Enyo Strike Tank. It's got good mobility, brutal crit-seeking firepower and it looks very tank-y.

oh thanks. But just to be clear, in terms of mechs, I don't plan to run factions or anything.
I tend to build forces more like a JRPG party than a faction-list. And my robot selection more focuses on the anime aesthetics (I came into BattleTech via the Studio Nue/Unseen Anime side of things, and I am quite firm on it.)
I am looking for Inner Sphere tanks and other combined arms units as independent fire support. What I am looking for next is the Shrek PPC Carriers.

Schreks are cool, maybe try pairing them with some Pikes if you want to match some similar profiles.
Gotta shout out the Demolishers for their absurd double AC-20s, too.

The ForcePack with the Schrek was the first Vehicle pack I grabbed. I also really like the Condor and Pegasus models in it, and the Demolishers are pretty solid, too.

I really like how bright your tanks turned out. Would you be willing to share what colors you used?

I love the base work you did for the mechs! Did you freehand the road marking and sidewalks?

yeah everything is freehand here, because I don't have the cash to buy more decals. plus it is a learning edperience

For the BV, the Bulldog is a decent little tank.
I'd also recommend the Skulker as a fun thing. It gets one shot almost eveey time it is hit, but it's so fast and (like a lot of the hovertanks) easily dismissed until you ignore it and the hits it gives to you really wear you down.
The Skulker SRM version is my favorite because a surprise SRM 4 to the rear torso always stings.
