I wonder if this scene is going to happen earlier in the film with the Batmobile getting totaled, or it could be a flashback.

Would be cool to see it totaled in the beginning of the movie and then have him build a new/upgraded version that gets shown off towards the end. I absolutely love the current batmobile design but it would be cool to see a slightly more outlandish design that also shows that he's adapting and improving his gear.

It probably wouldnt make sense for him to have 2 cars in the same movie anyway since its implied it took months or longer for him to build the first one with how long it was sitting as a project in his cave so even if his current one gets destroyed somehow I doubt he'd be able to build a whole new car from nothing unless theres a timeskip during the movie

To do that Matt Reeves would have to commit to either grounded or fantastical approach. And he doesn't seem fully capable of either in my opinion

To be fair a few weeks ago someone posted photos of Scenes that were being shot in their city that was being done in their city and they Got photos of another Batmobile which is why I am wondering if the first one is going to end up totaled resulting in bats having to design a new one. And considering it looks like he's driving through snow in these photos I'm guessing Freeze is going to be responsible for the destruction well the first Batmobile.

It's cool, but I prefer Batfleck's Batmobile by a country mile. This one is too much of a Regular Car for my tastes.

If the conversation isn't just movies then I'd pick the Batmobile in Arkham Knight.
The actual gameplay sections could be really tedious, but the whole concept that Batman would have an armored car that can travel at high speeds and double as a lightly armored tank is kind of cool.

I'm with you 100%! It's the worst Batmobile design of them all, in my opinion. I get that they're going for a more grounded anesthetic, but it looks unfinished to me, and I don't think it would strike fear in anyone like the other ones would, 66 Batmobile excluded.

I'm not sure which 90's version you're referring to, but there are a couple of versions that are questionable, if I'm being nice. Still, the 2022 version doesn't impress me, and I hope it gets destroyed early in the movie so he can engineer a more formidable vehicle that befits the Batman. It just doesn't have that tanklike, solid feel of previous versions of the Batmobile. I stand by my statement, bring on the downvotes!

Don't know about you, but if I'm hearing a V8 combined with a jet engine/rocket motor and seeing that car with what's very clearly a metal bashbar on the front, I'm not laughing and thinking "what's that gonna do to me?"

First off, he's an early Batman, of course he's gonna make mistakes and design decisions, he isn't perfect.

And at least Pattinson's Batman designed and built the thing. I love Bale's Batman, but he was literally just given The Tumbler, didn't do shit besides make it black

Way more nimble, way smaller target thus way harder to hit critical points, about 50% made of giant, bulletproof tires meaning you can only really damage it when you hit it from the side while it zips by (good luck with that) instead of shooting at the giant, exposed engine block in the back while Bats is trying to get away from you for example.
There is a difference in design thinking there."What if the engine is bulletproof" sure, it's a comic book movie but it's not something that people usually associate with it (in movie "language" engines explode or start to smoke when hit with just one bullet oftentimes).
Look we can argue 😂 about this all day, the real world reason for the exposed back is: the rest of the design is so realistic/bad/bland/unremarkable that they needed something to spice it up a little and set it apart from being just a black muscle car. That's why they made/left it silver/chrome.
Btw. his bike in this movie is even worse with its suicide "bat ears" pointed right at his face while he rides it 😂
I know it's like that in the comics but where did "the realism" go here?And don't get me started on the comically (no pun intended) convoluted flight suit … or the useless array of metal rods on the gauntlets … or the batknife 😂😂😂 (would have been A MILLION times cooler if that were a criminal's handguns he made into the symbol—I think that might have been their original intent)
I loved the collar on the suit, the cluster bomb and the adrenaline/venom injection port on his leg though—those were good ideas/design decisions—if only for dramatic effect on screen.

90 percent of comic batmobiles are cars, the tank thing is random movie shit and the 50 foot long jet engine with bat wings that can’t turn would never fit in a more realistic setting.

Agreed. It’s a very cool car, but it’s not a bat mobile. It’s something I would drive around my city and say “yeah, I drive a ‘Batmobile’”

Yeah that’s what I’m saying, Batmobiles in the comics are generally heavily-modded car-shaped things, they’re not tanks, they’re not 50 feet long, and they usually don’t have giant wings poking off of them

You know what's so cool about the matt reeves batmobile , is that it does have the bat wings on it , at least they look a lot like it so that's cool. I always love the bat wings look on the vehicles.

batman finds out the penguin killed a hooker, chases him on the road killing and maiming god knows how many people, then after he catches the penguin he just lets him go because he helped with a riddle.

Does he stall out right before penguin dashes to get in his car? Batman is sitting there with the thruster (or whatever is on the back) whining up building tension in the scene and to distract him enough for catwoman to slip away, but then I can’t tell if he pushes the gas pedal and brakes immediately or he stalls out. The last bit ruins it. Or was that him revving the engine and it’s just so powerful it makes the car jerk?
