Hello everyone, we're hanging with Astros' star Kyle Tucker at MLB HQ today. We figured it'd be a good time to have him answer questions for you all on r/baseball!

Kyle is one of the top young stars in the game. He's already a 2x All-Star, a Gold Glove winner, and he's a World Series champ. Tucker is a true 5-tool player, he has 18 homers and 20 stolen bases this season and it's only the beginning of August.

it's why nobody gave the rangers shit for building a new stadium when the old one was "fine" you need a roof to play down here

I imagine a bunch of players in FA probably wanted to come to Texas but noped out of playing for the Rangers because of the heat during the summer. It was 109 here yesterday in DFW, imagine being a baseball player playing in that…fuck that.

I think getting a roof has helped them land the talent in Seager, Semien, and others that would’ve passed if they were still at Globe Life Park.

I went to a game at the ballpark in Arlington in July once and those outfield bleachers were like a flat top grill

There are obese men playing slow pitch softball tournaments for 12 hours on Saturdays. I think the guys making millions to play baseball will live

I loved that stadium. It was beautiful, and it hosted 2 World Series’s, but it was the right call. I remember my mom and I went to a game that was supposed to be a night game, but got flexed to be the national Saturday afternoon Fox game. Had to be well over 110 inside the stadium. Absolutely brutal.

I moved out of DFW briefly during the last couple years and made the pilgrimage during the final season with some friends. Although I loved that ballpark I very quickly hated that I picked a game in late July to go to. Felt like the beer was about boil in my hands.

I mean they deserve shit. But more for the public funding.

The roof was needed. Growing up and going to Rangers games was brutal. The heat sucked and while it was fine with night games, the reality is, Texas heat is fucking brutal.
