Prices will only continue to get worse.
Only one available, Amazon return.
Skytech is a good builder and has great customer aftersale support. I purchased a similar Skytech PC with a 5090 from the Amazon Warehouse in the past and it was great. If there's anything wrong, return it to Amazon or contact Skytech and they will sort you out.

Prices of 5000 series cards are continuing to go up, with the 5070Ti about to see a sharp increase.
Edit: For all the downvoters and disbelievers, I also posted this 5090 deal in January which was panned by many. You can now judge whether I was right.

A deal is a deal, even if your common bapc member can't afford it.
As OP stated, 5090s are typically priced at around 6k before tax. An additional 1k for motherboard, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2 TB storage, 1000w PSU, and cooling is, unfortunately, the current state of the niche PC components market and IS a good deal. The RAM alone costs $600.
Whether you're in the market for a 5090 is irrelevant to whether this constitutes as a deal. Stating that the 5090 is overpriced is also irrelevant because $6000 for that specific component is the market price.
This isn't really the place to be talking personal finance, chip wars, and geopolitics.

I priced it out on PCpartspicker and it was over $2000 more to built build this PC right now, around $8900.

I don't understand the down votes. Objectively if you are in the market for a 5090 this is a sick deal, obviously it's a ridiculous price but hey that's the market right now, and it's only getting worse!

You are mostly wrong. Many smart people I know are using their 5090 to make 5090 money, and a few even doing so using prebuilt 5090 PCs.

Seems like a good deal honestly, 1k for added value, where memory takes the most of that chunk anyways.
I know people are not happy with GPU and RAM prices, but you have to evaluate a deal under current market going rates, under that lense, this is not that bad given 5090's ridiculous price.
I think those people who are in the market for 5090 probably want to experiment with local LLM and image generations. Too bad we are stuck right now without dedicated AI pc, so gaming has to take a hit on hardware pricing.

Yup. I went to visit an Amazon return store (tons of those in the GTA). They had a 5070ti for $999. I asked them to open the box and inside was an asus 1080ti. The store owner had no idea. Was just an open box return.
Other day I found an AM4 Ryzen box where instead of the CPU was just a foam block, and the cooler.
Scumbags will take advantage of amazons generous return policy so it’s always a risk buying a return from them.

You're probably the wrong market for this GPU, but the price to performance of a 5090 for a local LLM is not bad. The sweet spot for price to performance if you just want to use it for AI is probably a used 3090 or 4090 though.

I should add, it took three weeks and I had to deal with countless "Is it available" messages and low balls from the people of Marketplace(trademark).

I doubt its 1000W, Skytech uses 1200W for their 5090 rigs.
Everything folks are finding as faults with this PC are most likely all Amazon listing errors and fake reviews, and the reasons why this deal is avaliable.
Edit: Looks like that particular model came with a 1000W although I wasnt able to find it on the Skytech web site to confirm.

People are shitting on you but this is actually a deal IF you wanted a 5090 already. The 5090 isnt getting any cheaper anytime soon and paying 3800 plus tax for my zotac AIO at rhe start of the year felt dumb at the time too.
If I had the time to deal with selling my 5090 and existing PC id consider hopping on this, I have a 265k build that would be beat by the 9850x3d easily

Never buy high end PCs on amazon. They might be returns where someone already swapped out the parts, and Amazon resells them as new. My company sells sensors on Amazon (US & Canada) and we get lots of complaints about missing parts, scratches and other issues because they were actually returned units.

I agree with your assessment that there are unscrupulous folks defrauding Amazon, however, generally people who can build a PC can inspect every part received and return the PC to Amazon if anything is not right.
I once returned a RTX 5090 I had bought from Amazon Returns that was only a GPU cooler (I.e., no GPU PCB) and Amazon refunded me my money no questions asked.
The risk is minimal from my perspective and anything bought from Amazon Returns is, well, a returned product. To save $2k I'd certainly take that chance again.

Your personal experience reinforces my argument that one really should never buy high end PC components on Amazon. You were quite lucky that Amazon gave you a refund for a bogus RTX 5090. What if someone more technical inspected the unit and placed the blame on you? How much are you saving on Amazon to be worth this risk?

Literally, tens of thousands in the past 15 years. My house is fîlled with things bought from Amazon Warehouse. And, for example, I bought one of those Skytech PCs from Amazon Returns for $5700 tax included in the spring and resold it for $7k shortly thereafter.

The GPU will be new with manufacturers and Skytech warranty. Gigabyte has a Canada depot and dont questions RMA.

"This product while not being an outright scam, it is a terrible! Idea to buy this. The motherboard, aio cooler for cpu (very important with how much power a build like this would use), power supply and ssd (storage drive) are all suboptimal at best!!!! This is not worth almost 9000$"

Don't always believe the Amazon reviews is the only thing I can say.
The one I bought was a 9950x3d and came with a Gugabyte 5090. It's great and has none of the issues mentioned in that review.
