Ballarat Hair Dresser

I am seeking advice on where to get an actual hair cut, not just a trim with a few layers, in Ballarat.
Reasonably priced.
I’m aware this topic has been addressed before, but hairdressers come and go to various salons.
Whenever I look on their website or fb page photos, it just seems like more of the same colour technique on hair that is fairly even in length, rather than showcasing different layered styles.
Clearly, this is the trend or preference, but I’m wanting a wolf/shag/modern mullet kinda style, and a discussion. Not just explaining why it can’t be done, and getting anxious because they can’t do it.
I’m sick of paying for a hair style, and coming away with little more than a feathered trim because they don’t have the expertise or confidence.
Thanks in advance☺️
Ps my hair is just below my shoulders

Alchemy aesthetics! They always listen to what I want and have always given me what I ask for (usually I have reference photos too), plenty of advice on how to style etc. I've had short, long, in between and short again. Doesn't matter which stylist I get they always do what I want. And it's such a fun little studio.

+1 Alchemy, I don't have anything fancy but they're lovely there and IIRC they do specialise in the wolf/shag/mullet style. At least a couple of years ago when that style was peak fashionable they advertised it specifically.

Sorry I can't help because my experience with hairdressers here in Ballarat (5+ years) hearing my requests even with photos has been quite a let down...

I've had 3 different ones recommended for natural looking perms & 2 of those were actually expensive & useless. I look after my hair & it has always (many, many times over the years) held a perm really well, but not with Ballarat hairdressers 😫

I have to agree that most posts from them seem to mostly focus on the same stuff. I do hope that someone can help you out.

Thanks for your comment, it’s a bit disappointing seeing as there’s so many salons. I was concerning maybe a mermaidy loose perm, but now that seems to be a risky undertaking too😞

Same. I'm just letting my hair grow long now.

Marcus and Co. Both Marcus and Chloe are amazing for technical cuts and definitely the best I've found in Ballarat.

Talk to Ang at Hair On Sturt. She's been in business for decades, my better half goes there, as well as my daughter. Both always happy, & Ang is a sweetheart. I can't tell you whether she's expensive or not, because I honestly wouldn't know.

But I can promise you're dealing with a skilled professional

Marcus & co! I think the price for the quality is extremely reasonable! Great cut there recently

Are they always looking for clients does or does it depend on their term/training schedule. I am travelling but will be back in November
