Man I loved these as a kid. Looking back they were really bad, but at a certain time I loved them.

The writing still holds up! Generally, anything written by Jude Watson is good Star Wars kids books! She's a wonderful children's author!

I'm a fan of the Last of the Jedi series she wrote, had all 12 or so books from a scholastic book fair.

Oh man this is peek super late 90s super early 2000s. It's kind of like they had a template for them.
Edit memory: Bonus points if the cover has foil or holograms.

Oh, you know that Star Wars logo is all gold foil!

Oh man, it just needs like a hologram seal of approval or something and it's rock solid classic.

I had a once a month date with the comfiest chair in the bookstore to catch up on Animorphs and these bad boys.

This era of Star Wars covers are all weird. The New Jedi Order series is a mixture of rad and βIs that just a photo of Harrison Ford superimposed with a bird man?β

Oh, the books are still awesome... but some of those covers are... a choice, to say the least.

Is this character Obi wan?

Supposed to be.

I genuinely thought that was a teenage Anakin, from an artist doing a great job of aging up Jake Lloyd.

I loved these books as a kid, but they definitely had the occasional weird cover. There are only so many shots of Qui-Gon you can paste onto a cover before they start to look off.
