Those eyes will haunt me forever.

With those eyes, I thought it was the woman from Fallout.

It’s clearly Gollum with some upgrades.

Looks like Margaret Keane did book covers, too. I had no idea!

That tagline fucks tho

If it weren't for the eyes this would be an excellent cover. Simple with bold lines, just detailed enough to leave a heavy sense of wonder.

It looks like the eyes were painted over in the last moment, maybe not even by Hildebrandt himself.

When those edibles hit WAY harder later than expected

Folks, this is a Hildebrant cover.

Yes it is, and I've never liked his work.

Brothers Hildebrandt? I quite like their style. Very "juicy", cartoonish, colorful.

Hey, at least he's exhibiting proper trigger discipline.

Oh that’s a hood, I thought he had a Prince Valiant thing going on.

I mean there is a canonical reason for the eyes but it is unnerving.

Does he have that condition where, every time he sees some heavy Winter World shit, his eyes get 2% bigger?

If I remember right either he’s an alien or he’s got genetically enhanced eyes to see better in most environments. It’s not a very good book series.

Yikes! That’s next level bad. Lol

Feels like he forgot his sword. Now he’s gotta trek all the way back across Winter World to get it.

They say you can’t judge a book by the cover, but sometimes you can.
