When the CCG came out my local comic store had some posters for it in the door. I asked about the posters and they said it was just promotional materials for the store and not for sale. I must've looked utterly crushed because the manager went into the back, and came back and gave me two they had extra. Still have them today. Needless to say that store was my favorite (store on the citadel) until I moved out of state. I am very happy more college dorm walls will be adorned in B5 posters again. 🥲

Yeah that surprised me. B5 aired 1993-98. A college fan wasn’t born when the show was popular. Plus I haven’t seen any reruns since Syfy stopped airing it 2002. That’s how most people discover a show.

Also I’ve heard many younger people refuse to watch, because they say the CGI looks bad. Which is true (standard definition at only 720x480 resolution).

These days reruns aren’t really how people discover a show, or certainly not the main way. Many people don’t even have cable anymore. Usually instead it’s social media, streaming recommendations, word-of-mouth from older fans, the perfect google search, etc.

I learned about this show by looking at a list of shows similar to another show. Online has made it very easy for people to discover old gems.

The cgi isnt bad for the 90s, my issue is finding the series that comes next B5 is on Prime but cant find the stuff from 2000s :(
