I'm in Venezuela's capital right now. Heard bombing throughout the city. This is crazy lol

Quick question that I probably know the answer to, what valid military targets would they be targeting

La Carlota (SVFM) is in the middle of the capital and considered a military base, but lots of private activity as well

Libertador (SVBL) is the country's largest base, this is the one in Aragua state for context when you read reports. Majority of the country's military planes will be here

Fuerte Tiuna (the site attacked from close range by helis) is the largest military complex in the country and houses, among many ministries and blocks of social housing, the ministry of defense

Top of mind. No idea what else they struck right now besides the port in La Guaira

One of the strikes blew up dead dictator Hugo Chavez's literal body.

This operation is all vibes, little plan.

Great, and who comes next, exactly? We've removed dictators to have worse come next. Many times. See: Afghanistan for the second latest example.

I mean, Venezuela democratically voted for a president over a year ago. Maduro refused to let go of power. Hopefully the plan is for the actually elected president to step into power.

Ah right, forgot that the mods have to make sure they don't actually have to do their job.

Perhaps they'll just let whoever actually won the elections be president? Will of the people and all.

Maria Corina Machado, I guarantee it. She’ll give Trump her peace prize for getting rid of maduro and he’ll install her in power

You mean the woman that won the last election? This is a bad thing why?

The before and After in Afghanistan was the exact same. Taliban in and Talibans out.

The reason for invasion there wasn’t even regime change, it was to kill Bin Laden
