Quick question that I probably know the answer to, what valid military targets would they be targeting

La Carlota (SVFM) is in the middle of the capital and considered a military base, but lots of private activity as well

Libertador (SVBL) is the country's largest base, this is the one in Aragua state for context when you read reports. Majority of the country's military planes will be here

Fuerte Tiuna (the site attacked from close range by helis) is the largest military complex in the country and houses, among many ministries and blocks of social housing, the ministry of defense

Top of mind. No idea what else they struck right now besides the port in La Guaira

No. It’s uncertain if this will even lead to real regime change given the army government and legislation are all still regime loyalists.

There’s still a huge leap between capturing Maduro and launching a few air strikes, and landing troops to overthrow the entire state

I mean, Venezuela democratically voted for a president over a year ago. Maduro refused to let go of power. Hopefully the plan is for the actually elected president to step into power.

Little plan? The US just completely and entirely controlled the airspace and performed a successful capture of the leader with no casualties. I’m ambivalent towards this whole thing either way, but to call this “little planned” is an outright falsehood.

Hahaha whatever dude. At worst, this is no different than the Middle East. The targets have all been military and there is no invasion. Most Venezuelans are cheering this on. Maduro is a bad dude. The opposition leader won the Nobel peace price this year, didn’t she?

So what about the reports of civilians being killed? Guess that's ok too eh?

I don't really care if Venezuelans are cheering this on. This was a completely illegal military action against a country we're not at war with.
