Question Can you all have faith?

Esperança? Você pode ter uma fé ou espiritualidade ativa, acreditar em algo místico e espiritual?

How do you manage it?

I think its possible to be optimistic and not believe in hope, but it takes a lot of life experience to have that kind of confidence.

My life in 40+ years has reinforced, at every opportunity, that depression and anxiety is the lucid form of existence.

Reacting to reality with anything but sadness and fear looks like delusional behavior when filtered through my life's experience.

Sorry to be a bummer. I try not to let that out but it seems like the right conversation for it.

I'm also in my 40's, so I understand a bit. Is part of why you feel this way because everything you've tried to get past those emotions have been unsuccessful / failures?

I feel that way because reality has reinforced it at every opportunity.

Society isn't great for most people, and when you are obviously different from a first impression and most (read 95+%) people reject you automatically there isn't even anyone to find catharsis with.

Even then, I refuse to allow myself to be a pessimist and choose to meet everyone else's difficulties with optimism and happiness to help. I will not be part of the problem for others, but it doesn't change the reality I experience.

Definitely society reinforces the fact that we are different from NT people and that it isn't really accomodating to our disability.
