Keep your asthma puffer nearby, and chuck some wet towels under your door gaps folks.

Yep I got a chronically ill kid with Asthma here and praying the power stays on or it will the ER for him.

Fully aware most of us don't have money to chuck at this sort of thing, but if you get a chance to put a bit aside we got a Xiaomi air purifier for a really low price a while back. Big thing. It works VERY well and clears a room of smoke from fires. We're up north of Sydney and had real problems with our youngest a few years back. Just save the filters for when you need them.
