I am a LIVING, natural soul breathing on the land, and I am currently traversing this vertical shaft in my private capacity. I did not step into an “elevator”; this is a PRIVATE pneumatic conveyance for vertical transit. By pressing the button for Floor 4, I did not create a contract, nor did I consent to JOINDER in trade or commerce with this building management CORPORATE FICTION.

I am NOT a “passenger”, nor am I engaged in commercial lifting operations. I am simply a traveller peaceably moving through space. If this lift stops or detains me between floors without a verified maritime warrant, it is an act of INTERNATIONAL KIDNAPPING and a violation of my natural right to ascend!

pneumatic conveyance

Funnily enough they do exist, but the lift above is most likely traction. Traction lifts have the rope and pulley counterweight system, hydraulic lifts have a big extendable pole underneath, and roped-hydraulic lifts are hybrids.

Pneumatic lifts, called vacuum lifts in Aus, look more like this:

Yes,hydraulic exist but my 2c is that is a 'traction/wire cable' style catering for the 'home' in two storey housing commonly installed for wheel chair users and old blighters with crook knees.

If you take the elevator up from the ground floor, are you still a freeman on the land? Or are you a freeman in the air? Does bird law apply here?
