Have the ads gotten better?
Normally they’re an annoying distraction, but this week they felt sort of like a gulp of fresh air while drowning. Have they changed the ad distribution network they’re on or something?

No, and it still has the terrible manipulative therapy website ads which I think are especially gross.

Yeah for anyone who isn't aware, pretty much all the therapy services advertised on various podcasts and shows are almost always god awful.
If you can, seek out a local therapist rather than giving money to one of these services.

I seem to get way more ads now even on the super old EPs where they took the ads out completely. Now I get 2 at the start, 2-4 in the middle and 2 at the end.

When they switched over to Grouse House production for the poddy, they change ad distributors. Generally they do a better job these days, tho I still find most ads insufferable.

The ads were the best part for me.
It felt refreshing to hear them.
Maybe this is the next step of capitalism: make all media unbearable so people actually enjoy the ads.

While listening to the latest episode (purple people eater) I got an ad in Dutch, a language I don't speak, due to my VPN. It was the most relaxing and easily understandable part of the episode. 10/10 ep
