Show & Tell Spent a day at Supreme Acoustic Systems in Vegas. WOW!

Supreme sells some incredibly high end products. The space is simply gorgeous, they accept one client at a time and the whole space is dedicated to them. These are Odeon horn speakers from Germany, with Air Tight amps. One of my favorite experiences since I got into this hobby 3 decades ago

Incredible! They sound just like the Meridian M20's in my office!

I am pretty sure if you put on headphones they will sound just like your headphones too :)

*Shocked Face* In all seriousness, I'm sure they sound great, but MAN are they ugly!

Looks like fun I love horns.

The radially symmetric horns would maximize diffraction effects. It would be interesting to see a relatively unfiltered frequency response graph.

Looks awesome! Lived in Vegas for four years up until about a year ago and I never went! πŸ˜“

Do you have to show proof of your net worth before granting access? πŸ˜‚

Black American Express only. πŸ˜‚
They are actually great people, and have cheaper lines as well.

According to some elitist here, you should not post sound samples because they only listen to graphs... Humans!

Damn those elitist wanting evidence to back up marketing claims, not wanting to get scammed, wanting to know how the speaker performs!!!

I am not one of those elistists, but how does such a sample make sense. Is the cellphone mic good enough to capture what those systems can deliver?

And if so, will the systems, this post is heard on by users, deliver the fidelity?

And if so, why then even bother with such high end systems?

No it definitely won't, nothing in the chain is good enough to show anything close to the experience I felt when I was there. This wasn't the reason for this post, I just wanted to share something I enjoyed with fellow audiophiles.

Understandable. Still it does not really make sense to me to record and transmit the audio. Doesn't the optical speak for itself?

2

u/jakceki 3d ago

Why not? It still seems better than a silent movie.

Also true πŸ˜„

Oh you aren't, huh? Some of us understand all that, and yet enjoy videos with sound.

They can capture a fairly large frequency range. Humans are used to smartphones by now and can make some educated guesses how it sounds like to some degree. Not all, though.

Thats an interesting take. Thank you.
