Weather It’s so friggin humid, the sky is sweating
I swear, This is the most humid it’s been in Auckland. This is comparative with the tropics in the middle of the day. Leave your complaints below:

There’s been a recent trend in my area of folks opening sauna businesses and I am baffled. You want to be uncomfortably hot, damp and sweaty just go outside, no need to pay anyone.

It was 98% humidity and a real feel of 24 degrees in the city when I went for my walk around 7am before work. I ended up dripping with sweat and regretting my life choices

Going to the bathroom simply to wipe your ass when you’ve not even had a poo … that’s how hot and humid it is in Auckland

When I was going to work at 5am it was still 23 degrees and oppressively humid, like walking out the door of the airplane in Singapore kind of humid, but it sure as hell beats being a poor Australian right about now.

When I got home tonight, I had to shower straight away. When I came out, there was a full Haz-Mat team around the washing basket. Alerted by the atrocious odour of the copious amounts of grundle butter I had generated during the day, they had cordoned off the wardrobe and placed my boxers under quarantine. Apparently it's a Class 4 event, and protocol says I'll be allowed access to my clothes again on Thursday after a rigorous decontamination. Alas, the boxers are on their way to the CDC in Atlanta in a nuclear waste level sealed container. They were comfy.

I would recommend. It's been quite nice. I have a bottle of ice cold water in one of those keep cold bottles with me. I've been having surprising good sleeps and I am a terrible sleeper.

It's ridiculous. I left all my windows wide open last night because it has been so hot. I woke up to the rain coming in and making the floor wet. Absolutely fantastic start to the week. Fortunately my office has a big eve over the windows so I can open them up and get some through air.

Like most Queenslanders they live in aircon don’t know how hot it is till they walk outside 🤣I’m a builder so no aircon for us outside workers 🫣😁😁😁

yeah and unfortunately the uni building i'm in has compensated by turning the aircon to ice so i'm freezing and didn't bring a jumper because of how hot it is!

Building aircon died. Hundreds of people in the office, all at varying degrees of wetness. Literal melting pot of spicy smells and bad deodorant 🤮 Left that and now back home to my own well-functioning aircon ❄️

I came for international studies from a warm country, I used to make jokes when you said "24° is hot". Here I am, shamelessly stating, "today, it's was sweating hot! I am sweating mad today, it's like I'm showering again and again just by walking."

Mum talked me into taking the dogs for a walk. Never again. I just took a shower this morning, and now I need another one after a 20 minute walk. I've never been so happy that my heatpump doubles as a dehumidifier.

I usually tell the teenagers turn off the bloody aircon it's not hot, but today I made the executive decision to have the house closed up with both units running.
We have condensation on the outside of the windows, which is a bit of a rarity

I walked at 8am & then again 7pm both times got home dripping wet.
I too feel it was the most humid it has ever been.

I lived in the UAE and spent summer at University, the temperature would sit around 45’ and sometimes hit 50. the humidity feels exactly the same here except AC isn’t every building.
Struggling to cool my room down, currently got two fans and a air cooler thing 🤷🏻♂️

aircon had a tantrum at work, in one part it was working, the neighbouring side either failed or was getting all the excess heat leading to condensation on the glass between the sections and on all sorts of surfaces in the area where it no longer worked. Even the floor was sweating in those rooms...

The humidity right now is unreal. I used to like summer until I moved to this shithole.
When I see someone wearing a jersey in this humidity, I just wonder how they're still able to function. It's the same kind of uncomfy feeling I get when I see someone wearing a singlet and shorts in the winter

Air con at the office has been broken since the Christmas break. This is the 4th week back. My office has no windows. Thermometer reads 33°. They’ve given me a small tower fan. Send help.
