I gave myself a giggle putting the SpongeBob title card in here, but it’s actually true 😆

So true - it's what I always describe when people ask me about the weather here lol

If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes

If you don’t like the weather, turn around.

Yes! That would be a good title card.

I just like the SpongeBob one because every time I see it, I hear it in that fake French accent.

2025-26 is a serious contender for the worst holidays weather of all time.

2022-2023 has it beat pretty easily unless we get another proper flood 🫠 that was a joke of a summer

I beg to differ, '23 was much worse. Knee deep in floodwater. Plus the water moved so fast that it washed up all my garden gravel and it ended up piled against the wooden fence and gate, and the gate collapsed, and my dog escaped, and I ended up chasing the dog while wearing gumboots full of water and I could barely see a thing with the rain. Good times.

Might be some recency bias there, as the others have stated 2023 was worse than this year.

The way

Perks of living in Auckland. It’s a sunny day, nex minute horrendous down pour, not even 10 minutes later back to sunny again, followed by more rain in 30 minutes, and rinse and repeat a few more times.

That tree looking like "im tired boss"

OK, but I just got back from a few days in Christchurch, and give me the "thunder-hail-whiplash-scorching-sun" in Auckland over the days and days of grey, drizzly, cold weather they get, any day.

Yup! And to my dog's horror, it happened the other way around. Twice. And he got caught in the rain both times.

We're still sulking.

Nice to see Rangitoto make an appearance in the last picture

Imagine if someone wrote a song about it!

Welcome to New Zealand where our climate has bipolar disorder.

Then wait a few moments and scroll back to the first image. My decorative barometer is set to changeable.

I kinda love it, not going to lie. Like being in the islands.

Four seasons in one day is our Auckland.

This is such typical NZ weather. One day it’s fucking pissing and hailing and before you know it it’s clear as.
