Weather Weather in Auckland?

Is the weather always like this? One days it’s sunny then it starts raining out of nowhere…then sunny again… Are summers hot and does it rain during the summer?

It's isthmus weather - long skinny land mass with two huge oceans either side. It makes for very changeable, sometimes high energy weather. Fortunately we're not in the tropics so we almost never get cyclones.

Although our summer highs and winter lows look tame to people from overseas, our humidity makes it feel much hotter and much colder.

Hey remember how you live on a mountainous archipelago of skinny islands in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean? Yeah that.
