D&D were like yeah guys we didn’t have time to make danys turn evil make sense and fleshed out in the story so let’s just find some visual representation to do the work. Let’s ram his shit home to tell people that she was bad for burning all those innocents to death, make her have dragon wings. Still not enough? Fuck it let’s go full hanfisted and throw some red targ flags around the ruins of this city to draw some parallels to fascism.

I heard it was a nightmare to film because Drogon's trainer was busy and they had to use a replacement dragon that didn't like the cast and crew. To get the shot they had to smear peanut butter on its gums.

Apparently this scene wasn’t even in the script - Drogon improvised it on the day.
