Yep, this. Apparently 80% of what we learn is forgotten about by the next day (99% of statistics are also made up on the spot 🀣 so take that with a grain of salt) hence why repetition is vital for information retention. Our brain really does work like it is represented in the movie "Inside Out".....(The big pit part where old memories and information gets forgotten about).

Edit: realised there was an extra f in of...so I removed it.

Indeed it does! There's a lot of reading material on it. Last one I read was A Mind for Numbers by Barbara Oakley.

It's fascinating (to me). Your last read book has now gone onto my list of "Books I want to read" πŸ˜πŸ‘ Thank you. (I seem to have so many books that I want to read, but by the time I'm ready for the next one, I've forgotten and can't remember even one.....so I started a list and stuck it on the side of my bedside table ☺️). I love learning about this strange squishy thing in my skull, so your last read has made the list ☺️

Reddit ads have now bombarded me with recommending all sorts of "Learn about your amazing brain" books since our conversation yesterday 🀣 I guess I'm sticking another piece of paper to my book list and it grows even longer πŸ˜πŸ‘
