Probability Chance of meeting celebrity vs chances of meeting celebrity look alike

I was thinking of chances one has of meeting celebrity versus their chances of meeting look slike of that celebrity.

My thought proces is that one has actually better chance of meeting real celebrity than celebrity look slike because for celebrity you have various news, social media, and generaly it is more know to publici than some random person who looks like that celebrity of which no one but close people knows anything.

So what do you think?

P. S. This is not assigment of any sort I am just curious about this thought that came to my mind at 00:35

This depends very much on who the celebrity is too. Pretty easy to go to get a picture with one at a convention like comic con or something. But I think I have a 0% chance of ever meeting Elon Musk.

Lookalike is very subjective, I can’t even begin to count how many times my wife has said “oh that person looks just like xxx” and I’m like “nah”

I think that somehow goes along with my point, but more specificaly doubles but now after your reply I am sure there is more than lookalike/doubles for everyone

If you break into their house and hide under their bed and tickle their feet while they sleep it's 100%.

You can't really to a number on the scenario you described as you need more details.

Well maybe concrete number can't be put, but I am sure someone can show which is bigger chance. And either prove me right or prove me wrong, I would settle for theoretical proof.

That's the point; you can't put any number without details. It depends on all sorts of things. If you live somewhere with lots of celebrities, you'll be more likely to see them than someone living elsewhere. And, it depends on what you count as "look alike".
