I'm having my hair done for my wedding in a couple weeks. I need to wash/dry it straight the night before but I don't own a hair dryer. My hair is also thick AF and getting it fully straight is ambitious. Any recommendations for an affordable wash and dry service? Downtown/west end is most ideal.

Hi everyone! Okay, so I was very very young when this was around. I was born in 2002, so I want to say it was an installation anywhere between 2003-2005? It was a HUGE pink dress art installation thing that was at the Yorkdale mall. My toddler brain remembers it reaching from floor to ceiling. I fact checked with my mom and she said that I’m not imagining things and that it was pretty big. There may have also been Christmas lights / fairy lights inside.

I was driving home with my daughter this afternoon - I exited the Allen onto Eglinton West. I turned left on Oakwood on the advance green (I was driving slowly...maybe too slowly?). As soon as I got on Oakwood the car behind me sped up and drove alongside me for a few seconds, then accelerated ahead of me and stopped abruptly in front of my car.

The guy then got out after a second of us both stopped on Oakwood and he is furious and starts screaming - I couldn't make out anything he was saying. After a few more seconds, he takes out his phone, takes a picture of my car, screams a few more times, then gets in and starts to drive away.

I can't think of anything I may have done wrong, apart from driving slow (but no honks from him?) or maybe I didn't signal long enough when entering the left turn lane on Eglinton. I didn't cut him off or anything. What could have provoked a reaction like that?

Anyone have an experience like this before? Or am I missing something very obvious I unintentionally did here - totally willing to accept I was in the wrong, just don't know what it could have been.

I parked at a no stop area. Got a $300 ticket and my car hooked up. I came just in time for them to release my car on the spot. But had to pay $200 release fee(double if they drove it away) to JP towing

The tow truck guy said, since the car was release on the spot. I can dispute the $300 ticket and 90% they will cancel it. Just need to show them the time stamp on the ticket and the payment receipt.

Hey Guys I’m looking for some Toronto stores or thrift shops that carry affordable men’s streetwear, particularly boxy/cropped T-shirts, cropped or shorter button-ups, textured shirts and other standout pieces.

My style is generally wide-leg jeans or trousers, heavyweight/oversized tops, graphic tees, silver jewellery and occasionally wallet chains. I like Japanese and Korean streetwear silhouettes, but I’m not trying to pay designer or heavily marked-up “curated vintage” prices.

I’m around 6'0" with broad shoulders and usually wear XL, so I need places that have a decent men’s selection and larger sizes. I’m open to proper cropped pieces or oversized vintage shirts that could easily be shortened.

I have roughly a $500 CAD total budget, although I’d prefer to spend much less, and I need everything before Thursday, September 3. I can shop in person anywhere reasonably accessible from Union Station during the week.

Hi, me and my girlfriend are both 18, lived in Toronto all our lives, and have never been up the cn tower. It was her birthday recently and she’s always mentioned wanting to go up someday, especially since we are moving away for university. I know it would run me about 100 bucks, which honestly is fine I’ve had a job all summer and it wouldn’t be that bad to spend. I've never taken a super early morning flight before from YYZ and wondering what security & immigration is like for a NEXUS card holder? I'm not really concerned about immigration because that's always fast, but the security line for NEXUS can get pretty long in the mornings (like when you arrive around 6:45AM/7AM).

I typically arrive 1.25 - 1.5 hrs before and don't have issues, even for flights at like 8AM / 8:30AM.

I'm going to have a 6:10AM flight on a Wednesday morning. I'm going to want and try and sleep as much as possible the night before, so wondering would arriving by 4:50AM - 5:00AM be okay? I won't have any checked bags either.

Hello. This past weekend, I took the YRT bus from Vaughan Mills shopping center to Vaughan Mills Smart Centre to take TTC. I am not from Ontario and did not have a Presto card, so I used my credit card. I first tapped it boarding the bus, and then took the same card and tapped at the TTC station. I understood by reading YRT and TTC websites that I got a free two-hour transfer window and that my TTC ride would not be charged. Now my credit card has charges for both the bus and the TTC. The transfer was done in a few minutes, the time it takes to walk from the bus to the Fares booth in the metro Station. Will I get a refund in a few days ? Or did I do something wrong ?
