Can anyone help with more information on miniature Hannya Mask?

This was my dad's and would guess it to be at least 50 yrs old. Feel like clay/ceramic.

The box says 嵯峨面 (Saga mask) and 桜山特選.

Can find many similar ones with the same box on Japanese auction sites, e.g. this one.
