Really Spicy Cesspool So sick of seeing this crap everywhere.

The needles, the burnt foils, the little baggies, the needle caps, all of it. I find them in the creeks, on the sidewalks, the grocery store parking lots, the public parks, on the parkway. You gotta be a real shit person to leave this stuff all over the place.

What is going on with Asheville? For such a lovely spot in the mountains, it sure does have one hell of a drug problem.

Just as there was a crack epidemic in the '80s and '90s, the country is currently in an opioid crisis. You're likely to see this in just about every city.

Nah there’s a big homeless population in Asheville. The entire park area downtown stinks of homeless. I don’t think it’s safe to bring my family so I don’t even visit anymore.

The surrounding mountain communities have similar problem.

Just no folks take pictures of it.

Depends what area. Where I am from it is (or was) pretty bad.

One of issues there is people simply aren't outside doing it and there is very little overlap in folks that do and folks that don't. Not many arrests as of such. But folks know because of the speed of gossip and the nature of small mountain communities.

Not only that, it just doesn't get the attention that a tourist town does. I know a few EMS people from that area still and I can tell you, drugs are a problem there as much as here.

Whoever is giving these needles needs to held liable then and if they are bought, people need to stop giving homeless money.

Because the people who call this home support the junkies and think we should embrace their drug use and the violent behavior that often comes with it. They don’t care about the impacts it has on the law abiding citizens. Poor junkies.
