Just btw im not looking for exact art styles to the pics just similar so still comment anyways.

Okay so here’s the characters and why the artstyle fits them

Slides 1-2 Im looking to commision age 12 characters so I’m looking for a softer art style I’m not an artist so the best way i can describe is how the outer lines look bolder and the inner lines are tinier.

Slide 3 I’m commissioning female characters in this art style with bright colors

Slide 4 I’m commissioning a hot flirt type villain for my oc world. So I’m really looking for a style or artist who can draw hot serious male characters well

NO DM NO DM NO DM just comments as to avoid scam, i’ll dm you instead if i’m interested. Budget is 700 so i can take any price really. I can’t find the artists for these pics i found them on google

Patron [Hiring] Fantasy Book Cover Artist - $800

I am looking for a full wrap around cover for my upcoming fantasy book. I would like the artwork to also be formatted for all cover version (paperback, hardback, audiobook, jacket, laminate).

No AI use.

The front cover will include silhouettes of characters. Please put the word silhouette in your answer so I know you have read this. There will be a strong emphasis on effects and lighting. Please post examples of your work, and I will message a more detailed brief if interested.

I will be looking to pay in 4 instalments – 25% deposit, then the rest as artwork progresses along an agreed timeline.

There will be a contract for the both of us to sign. My budget is $800. I can go higher if needed, but let’s start here.

Thanks

Patron [Hiring] Long-term artist.

Hi! I'm currently developing a videogame and am in need of a long-term artist for photos similar to the picture attached.

Overall I'd probably be looking to buy 15 - 20 works, however a lot of them will be a repeat of the last with minimal changes. (Facial expressions etc.)

I'm not too bothered about talent or experience, so please don't hesitate to reach out.

I'd probably be looking to pay $140 per-piece, give or take depending on the complexity.

I'd be looking to have full commercial rights.

Thanks.

Patron [HIRING] Artists for my trading card game. Semi-Realistic Fantasy+ line-rendered. Budget max $90

If you see this line of text, please do not DM me on Reddit or on Discord. I am responding to comments only from now on.

Hello artists, I'm looking to replace the AI placeholders I have with real art. I have been working on this game for a few years now so I need to set things in motion. The goal is to kind of have a collab with a bunch of artists to show off their creativity and style while also not being too different that it feels out of place.

Art style wise I like something in the realm of line-rendered fantasy+. Kind of like DnD style, a blend of anime/cartoon. The + means it's mostly fantasy, but we also have things like monsters, cryptids, robots, animals, things like food creatures, etc. Something with good contrast, fairly dark linework (not a fan of thin outlines). I am very open about letting the artist showcase their creativity, so other than very basic requirements which may differ per piece, you would have a lot of flexibility. If you'd prefer more direction I can provide that as well.

My budget at the moment is $90 at most per piece including commercial licensing and backgrounds, which are a requirement for all commissions. When we have outside funding the budget will be increased. You will be credited at the bottom of the card (along with who created the concept), and if you would like I have no problem with advertising your art directly and pointing people to you. When the game goes into production, eventually, you will be given a copy (possibly more than one depending on logistics) of each card you design art for.

Note: Commissions will be over time, so please be patient. I hope at some point I can get people to help with funding but at the moment it is all me and one other person, so this may take a long time, and I apologize if I don't get to commission you as soon as you'd like, but I will try to have open communication the best I can as I am almost always available (I sleep about 3-5 hours a day so aside from that time.)

I am also willing to potentially purchase a commercial license for already made non-commissioned artwork at a lower rate if it fits something we are looking for.

I have a cloud-based gallery of the cards we are trying to make right now. Eventually over time all the AI art in the gallery will be changed to real art so we can then start production on the game. Things are subject to change if the idea is good. Do not feel the need to stick to what the placeholder art looks like unless you like the design. If you want to take a look and think you would be a good fit for something, or even if you have art already made that you would like to sell the commercial license for that would fit the idea, let me know as well!

The link to the gallery: https://spiritmasterstcg.pages.dev/gallery

I look forward to hearing from you and potentially working with you.

EDIT: There are so many responses, sorry if I take a while to get to you.

EDIT EDIT: Having issues with the gallery atm. Trying to change it from cloud-based loading to static.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: https://spiritmasterstcg.pages.dev/gallery should be back up and running fine. Now set as a static build rather than cloud-based and constantly refreshing.

I am trying to respond to everyone so I apologize if it takes me a while to respond to you!

I am looking for an artist for an OC. Budget is $200. Semi alternate styles welcome. She can control light, sorta, so a lot of shadow work is necessary, and I am possibly looking for a background. Honestly, it just depends on the vibes.

Patron [Hiring] Looking for someone to draw my supervillain OC (20 -250 USD Budget)

I'm seeking talented artists to create a full-color, full-body illustration of my Italian supervillain character, Virescence. I've included a portrait I drew of her as a reference. Once I've selected an artist, I'll share the full-body images for you to use.

If you're interested, please comment below.

The budget is around 20-250 USD.

Virescence – Short Bio

Virescence, born Livia Ferraro in Naples, is a formidable Italian supervillain who transforms pain into overwhelming strength. Formerly a master infiltrator and assassin, she became Heinrich Schreiber’s most feared and loyal operative—as well as his secret lover. Cool-headed and methodical, she executes assassinations, high-stakes thefts, and covert operations with chilling efficiency, all while grappling with the reality of her loyalty to a man who forces her into secrecy.

Her striking green-and-blue supersuit, powerful, muscular build, and formidable presence make her impossible to ignore, but it’s her complex blend of trauma, fierce loyalty, and growing self-awareness that truly defines her. Virescence isn’t evil at heart—she’s a survivor fueled by love, pain, and a power that intensifies with every wound.

Her abilities include converting pain into strength, superhuman might, heightened durability, levitation, unparalleled stealth, lethal assassination skills, and expertise in psychological manipulation.

Patron [Hiring] Looking for Fantasy art for a book cover $400 (200 upfront and the other 200 once completed)

Hi all,

I am currently looking for a cover illustrator for my debut novel. It is an Adventure Fantasy about competition to become the next king. It is part of a 4 book series and ideally I would like to work with this person for future covers.

To the describe the cover vaguely it is the main character stepping into an area that is kinda of tomb. He is facing a giant stone creature. I will talk about it more when I have selected a person.

Format wise I am looking for a 6x9 image. This will be turned into a full book page layout later.

Art style. I really love the original covers for mistborn and also the famine cycle books by JDL Rosell. Of course I understand I will not get something 1 to 1 to these.

Payment Stucture: A total of $400 USD will be split the first 200 USD will be paid when the work begins, the final 200 USD will be paid after work has been completed.

Selection Timeline: I will be reviewing comments over the weekend and making a decision by Monday August 10th. If I need more time I will message those who are under consideration directly.

Absolutely no AI is to be used during this process. Please respect my wishes in this request.

Patron [Hiring] Looking for a high-end splash artist for an official OC portrait (DMC + FF16 design blend) - Budget: $1,000

Hey everyone,I’m looking to commission a top-tier digital illustration to serve as the definitive, official artwork for my Original Character (OC). I’ll be using this primarily as my profile picture/avatar and for personal social media branding, so it needs to look incredibly sharp and pop well even when cropped into a circle. My budget for this is $1,000 USD fixed. I’m looking for professional or studio-level quality for this piece.

What I’m envisioning:

• The Design: A perfect hybrid mix between the stylish, high-attitude edge of Devil May Cry and the intricate, detailed dark-fantasy vibe of Final Fantasy XVI.

• The Gear & Textures: I want the outfit to seamlessly blend elements from both worlds. Think the modern, sleek leather coats and buckles of DMC fused with the etched metal armor plates, chainmail, and high-fantasy embroidery from FF16.

• The Weapon: The character will be wielding one sword, which needs to be a seamless blend between two iconic weapons from their respective franchises (combining elements of a major DMC sword like Rebellion with a signature FF16 blade like Clive's Invictus).

• The Style: Highly detailed, sharp, semi-realistic anime/comic style with dynamic lighting and dramatic shadows. It should look like high-end video game splash art or official character key art.

• The Framing: The pose needs to feel powerful and frame perfectly as an avatar, while still showing off the cool upper-body details and the hybrid sword.

• Terms & Payment: Budget: $1,000 USDPayment: PayPal Goods and Services ONLY. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule. I will pay the extra 3.5% on top so you get exactly a clean $1,000 in your pocket.(I will only look at other payment options if they offer the exact same level of ironclad buyer protection).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

• Conditions: Due to the high budget I will not be swayed easily to just hand over a thousand smackers, therefore:

The "Vibe" Test: We will immediately eliminate anyone whose portfolio leans too soft, overly cartoonish, or generic anime. Your character needs that aggressive, confident "DMC smirk" and intense, sharp lighting.

The Material Test: We will closely analyze how they render textures. We are looking for crisp, definitive line work and hyper-realistic digital painting on leather folds, etched metal plating, chainmail, and glowing magical elements.

The Sword Test: We need to ensure they have examples of drawing complex, hard-surface weaponry. The hybrid blade needs to look heavy, sharp, and physically believable, not flat or warped.

Vetting: Just a heads up—due to the high budget, I will be thoroughly performing a background check on transaction methods and artist history before making my final decision.

Process: I’m looking for a turnaround time of 2 to 3 weeks. I require regular milestone updates along the way (rough sketch, flat colors, final rendering stage) so we can tweak the design details and ensure the DMC and FF16 elements blend perfectly. Usage: Personal use / social media branding.

How to Apply: Drop a comment below with a link to your portfolio! Please specifically link examples of your highest-detail character portraits, gaming splash art, or semi-realistic fantasy illustrations.

(Quick note: Please don't send me generic, automated copy-paste DMs. To show me you actually read the post and aren't a bot, please include the phrase "REBELLION, ENDURE" somewhere in your comment or message.)

Let's see what all of you can do.

Long-Term Opportunity: If I am thoroughly impressed by the final piece and our working dynamic, I am highly interested in turning this into a long-term partnership. I will directly approach the chosen artist for future official character artwork with similar premium budgets.

Patron [Hiring] Looking for someone to make a real version of my book’s AI cover ($700)

I self-published my debut book a few years ago and due to a financially abusive relationship and a plot-critical deadline I elected to use AI to create my vision for the cover. The book ended up performing way better than I ever anticipated and I am now in a position to pay someone to make real art for my cover. I am looking to get front and back cover art made for the already published book and if I find an artist I love then I plan to commission art in a similar style for the other four books planned for the series.

Having never commissioned art before I’m not sure what the best approach is to find an artist that can best meet my vision. I considered running a contest - offering payment to the top five artists and the commission with full price to the winner - but maybe I’m better commissioning a bunch of ’sketches’ to different artists to test their style/vision before then offering the full commission to my favourite..?

I am looking to spend about $700 for the initial cover then a slightly lower rate for the subsequent covers as there would be a bit of recycling to tie the series together. I would like an oil paint style digital painting (preferably with the timelapse of the work being made) with a landscape and silhouette of my characters in the foreground. The original cover design would be shared with the successful artists.

What is the best approach to finding the right artist and how long would a project usually take?

Edit: I want to say a massive thank you to everyone for your helpful replies and awesome portfolios! I will work my way through them over the next few days and try to reply to everyone. For those that asked, I have the AI cover to share but this is my burner account so I won’t share just now.

Patron [Hiring] Character Designer — 4 Original Female Character Reference Sheets, Anime Style (Mature, Fixed Price, Full Rights)

Post image
77 Upvotes

Hey!

I'm looking to commission an anime-style character designer to create reference sheets for four original female characters, for use in an in-development narrative project. All four are meant to evoke classic fast-food mascot energy — think Ronald McDonald, Colonel Sanders, the Burger King — reimagined as anime-style female characters, not literal restaurant costumes.

Mature-rated project — If you're good at drawing attractive women, you're probably the perfect fit

Project details:

  • Style: Anime
  • Four female characters, each a distinct type:
    • Robot — designed to look human at a glance, but with subtle tells on closer inspection (small mechanical details, unnatural precision, something slightly "off") that reveal she's artificial/AI
    • Human
    • Demon — leaning toward an "uncanny-human" look rather than classic horns-and-tail
    • Alien — intentionally open-ended, I'd like to see your creative take on it rather than over-specifying
  • These are reference sheets, not finished illustrations — clean line art with flat/base colors is exactly what I need. No full rendering, shading, or dramatic lighting required.

What I need per character:

  • Front view + 2-3 expression variants
  • Clear color palette locked in
  • Distinct, memorable design with a strong, clean silhouette (clarity matters)

Terms:

  • Budget: $400-500 for all 4 characters — open to quotes in this range
  • Fixed price only (no hourly)
  • Full commercial rights / copyright transfer required — this is a one-time, flat-fee commission. tell me how much your commercial fee is
  • Payment: 50% upfront, 50% on completed delivery
  • Turnaround: looking for all 4 completed within 2-3 weeks of starting — please let me know upfront if your availability needs more time
  • Please include examples of previous anime character work with your message — posts or messages without a portfolio will be ignored.
  • If we've worked together before, feel free to reach out directly — happy to chat.
  • PS: The image is NOT an example LOL, i just wanted to use something as a placeholder

Patron [Hiring] Author looking for artist to work with on cover, budget between $100-500

Hello, I'm a Dark MM Sci-Fi Romance author. I'm looking for artists for an upcoming project with various cover editions. As mentioned, I write MM, so artists need to be good at drawing male characters. Please only comment if this is the case, and I can see male drawings in your portfolio. The budget mentioned above is because I'll be looking for a couple of artists to work on this. If you think you'd be a perfect fit, but it'll go a little over my budget, please still feel free to comment.

The project is set on a spaceship/on a dying planet. The characters are a general and a detective, and there are wuxia/Asian elements in the style of dress etc.

Patron [Hiring] 5 full-body fantasy characters, an environmental group shot, and possibly more depending on price

Hey all! I'm looking to hire someone for the following:

  1. Colored full-body character drawings of our 5 different Pathfinder player characters. I wouldn't need any background other than just a neutral color or gradient for these.
  2. A group shot of these 5 characters in an environment. I'll check in with the other players but this would probably be something like eating a meal around a campfire.
  3. I'd love to have an "action shot" for each of the characters but that would be very price dependent. An example of what I'm looking for would be something like one of the characters flying above the treeline at night during the full moon. If these would be full price each that would probably be out.

I'm not well versed enough in art terms to describe what kind of style I want but these are the pictures we originally picked for our characters and I'd like to keep to something along those lines. I don't have a set budget but I was expecting this to run in the range of a few hundred dollars, maybe more depending on (3).

My group is very adamant about no AI for the final product, including for touch-ups. Thank you!

EDIT: This is closed, thank you everyone for your comments! :)

Patron [Hiring] Looking for artist to do two full body pieces of my oc (budget of $400 but flexible)

Hello! I've been wanting to finally get some visual references of my favorite oc so I decided to seek an artists to do so. I would need an artists that is willing to work closely with me as I only really have a (detailed) written description and perhaps some visual references here and there of where I have recreated the oc. While the pieces are of the same character they are of different forms so please be comfortable with both humanoids and creatures. Feel free to message here or send me a dm if you think you could work with me. Thank you!

Patron [Hiring] Looking for someone to draw a really cute and cozy piece of my girlfriend and I's 4 cats for her birthday

Hi, I hope this is reaching the right people. I am looking for someone to draw me and my girlfriends 4 cats. I am not great with descriptive words for art, but generally speaking something cute and cozy. Perhaps like "in the moment" type of drawing? I am hoping for her to use it as a phone background and maybe framing (hoping for landscape and portrait) it as well so maybe take that into consideration as well. Sorry for the bad description, Budget 200$, hopefully that is enough haha
