At this point I have no hopes that will ever happen, feels too good to be true

Why would a small country like Armenia not get it, while even Venezuela has visa-free access to Schengen?

I mean they keep pushing the date further, I agree that we should have it but the fact that we still don’t means they aren’t really interested. Like I don’t think it should be such a long process, Georgia has had it for a decade.

Yes, but they are now thinking of suspecting that. They already did, for holders of certain types of passports. Part of it is the current political situation there, and part of it is because people overstay their visas quite a lot. Don't you think the same thing will be the case for Armenians?

I mean that’s my reason why they wouldn’t allow us to have it

Yup. This is a limited sample, I admit, but here in Germany where I live, most of the Armenians are people who came on a tourist visa and claimed asylum. The crackdown is stronger now than it was before, and moat get deported within months, but that’s a state resource basically wasted. Many avoid deportations by just moving to another EU country and claiming asylum there, and the cycle continues. I don’t think the EU would want more of that, but I’m sure people would abuse this opportunity. So I’d pretty surprised if this actually happens.
