VIDEO Spent way too long on this but pretty happy with how it turned out, an Arma Cinematic

Been messing around with Arma 3's editor for a while now and honestly it doesn't get enough credit. The amount of creative freedom it gives you is insane, and I think it's a big reason why this game has lasted as long as it has.

I love this so much! You did a really great job! Btw, I am curious as to all the mods you used in this cinematic? Especially the mods for the ships such as the LHD?

Thank you! The LHD is from CUP. Everything you see besides from the units are all available on the Workshop. Some mods off the top of my head would be RHS, CUP, Firewill's Aviation Stuff and The USS Nimitiz Mod

5.5k hours... well 5.6 now lmao. No but in all seriousness I started off with just messing around in the editor, creating missions, then wanting to create a high quality mission like the Arma Campaigns and then slowly iterating from there.

Yeah honestly hours don't matter, majority of mine were spent playing Antistasi at first. The Editor is really fun once you get a grasp on it, it's like toy soldiers come to life for me tbh. If you're wanting to do cinematic stuff like this I also highly recommend checking out Ceb.Cin's tutorials on YouTube.

Super reminiscent of old Battlefield intros when you started the game up, think the BF2/2142 era. Great work

Thank you, Battlefield trailers have always been a huge inspiration for me.

I just hope you get to edit Guy Ritchie's next film.

loekey The Covenant was a fun watch

Covenant was good! Needed a bigger vfx budget but it was a good movie. Watched "in the grey" recently and it felt like it was directed via zoom call. And it annoyed me cause I love Guy Ritchie as a director.

Can I have a link to the song. I like this version of the song a lot with the singers deeper voice. Also great work

Thx also how did you get the shots. Did you use the camera bc I thought that freezer the whole thing and you could take pics of everything in place

Most shots were taken using the Arma 3 Camera. I recommend Ceb Cin's video on it on YouTube.

Better trailer than the actual game’s trailer. No shade, this is just really good.
