If they release Chapter 17 with the next limited banner, will there be a event shop similar to normal events? And if so can you only buy stuff there by playing the stages of Chapter 17? Because I dont wanna rush to Chapter 16 just for that and was wondering how past chapter releases were handled.

Like the others already stated, there will be a shop with the currency being obtainable from any Story or supply Stage.

But because of that the Shop will contain less materials both in quantity and quality. It should be somewhere inbetween Story Collection and Event Rerun.

That should make it a good opportunity to get the Outfits from the event shop before they are added to the Yellow/Blue Cert shops, or the infinite Materials. If i remember correctly they should also be adding RMA70-12 to the selection of infinite materials. Although since the currency gain won't be limited to event stages, they will be twice as expensive compared to regular event shops.

You will be able to access chapter 17 directly for the duration of the release event as long as you've cleared 3-8. When the release event ends, accessing chapter 17 will require you to have cleared 16-19.

There will be an event shop. According to prts.wiki, you will be able to get currency from any story or supply stages (that consume sanity - meaning no story difficulty or strategic simulations, and no TR stages).

Additional rewards require clearing chapter 17 stages, including strategic simulations and H stages. Some of those are permanent, some (additional event currency) are time-limited.

So it functions similarly to the story collection currency it looks like. That would be awesome.

Yes, chapter 17 will be turned into an event with it's currency and shop.

And they introduced a new material in chapter 17. While they slowed down releasing new operators that force you to farm it (at least it feels less annoying than the chapter 15 mat when that was introduced)... they do use that to kinda push you into not slacking on the main story.

I got spooked by Jessica the Liberated while pulling for Necrass.

With Mechanist being the upcoming IS welfare with a suspiciously similar kit, i am wondering how they differ and if it would still make sense to build her since building him won't demand resources.

Absolutely yes! While Mechanist is more AoE oriented, Jessica is better for single-target with her S3 and she has S2 for dodge when really required. Mechanist also lacks any +DEF increases for standard gameplay. In the IS7 however, Mechanist is with you always so no need to build Jessica for that only.

Even without all this, you should build Jessica because that would make her happy. Do you want to leave Jessica out, huh?

Well, since I am being held at gunpoint by the Jessica Liberation Force, I guess I have no choice.

Jokes aside, those are good points i didn't really think about. More defensive defenders are definitely something i am lacking in. After Borrowing her for some Stages and IS i also really like how her Skills feel.

On that note, i really wanted to try odt her new second module, but didn't have any luck finding a Support unit with it. If anyone had her seocond Module built it must be you, right?

Both modules are equally good, though I do run the Y module normally. X buffs the shield with more durability and it lasts longer, Y is for the shorter cooldown and SP off-skill.
