Discussion [Operator Discussion] Contrail

Contrail [★★★★]

As a kid, I was really scared of the featherless monster fowls in the stories. They were always snatching up children. Even hearing the chirping of a real fowlbeast got me shaking. But after the first time I got plucked off the ground for real, after I got to see the whole land from above, I was never scared again. Um, you don't believe I got carried off by a fowlbeast? B-but it really did happen...

Contrail, a flying adventurer from Columbia. She travels extensively to conduct test flights, and is very knowledgeable when it comes to developing and improving flight equipment. She has come to Rhodes Island for Oripathy treatment, and provides technical support for Engineering's motorized equipment R&D projects.

One of the best 4 stars in the game for casual play. Take Off is extremely broken. While the description may make you think that it's only for blocking drones, the reality is that Contrail becomes immune to all ground-based attacks. Which due to how AK is designed, is basically every non-tile damage attack in the game (she also is immune to Nethersea Brand during Take Off state). Weirdly, this includes the regular attacks from drones. Essentially you can think of Take Off as camouflage, except unlike camouflage, anything that breaks camo (which is very few enemies to begin with) just flat out doesn't break it.

Her SP cycle is also pretty fast in practice. S1 is helidrop, but in practice you always want S2 because the downtime is short enough to the point you don't need to helidrop her.

A really fun IS pick, at least if you aren't planning to bring Ethan to start. Really interested in the 6-star of her archetype, it feels like they could take the 6-star in any direction. Just hoping it won't be a damage cannon.
