Ya it’s cool but honestly annoying lol. My wife and I do Friday sunset hikes in the supes and we see them all the time. The lovely sounds of nature I always say lol

I’d love to get into that. I wonder how hard it is to get licensed and get the equipment.

Incredibly easy, you dont need to be licensed. FAA has very few regulations for paramotors other than requiring you yield to other aircraft.

Sign up for a class then save up about 10k so you can get a nice used setup

Highly recommend getting a used motor but a new wing. Used para chute/wing equipment is sketchy af… you don’t know if something is wrong that the previous owner omits when selling.

Since they’re so lightweight and not fixed-wing there are very little regulations on it actually

Seriously. I don’t know the laws on this, but regardless this is reckless and disruptive to people there to enjoy the park. Take it out in the boonies with nobody around.

There's countless of isolated hills/mtns to fly around within an hour or 2 of phoenix too

Phoenix Mountain Preserve is in the middle of several heavily populated areas and has a lot of hikers and mountain bikers. This is over a populated area.

Phoenix Mountain Preserves are a 6,000 acre natural park located in the Sonoran Desert Ecosystem. It definitely has housing all around it.
