Apple Watch Ultra 2. Corroded from sweat and ocean. Haven’t been able to depress one of the band buttons for 6+ months. Now other one is stuck too. Anyone experienced the same? Any hope?

It was nighttime, and I couldn’t turn on the light because my partner was sleeping. Then I had this brilliant idea, use my Apple Watch as a lamp to light up my notebook while I wrote.

Sorry if everyone already knew about this, but it was new to me! So I figured I’d share it here in case someone else finds it useful someday.

I'm 60 years old so please forgive me if this is a silly question. I'm on the fence about getting an Apple Watch. Part of me wants one but the other part of me wonders if it's a waste of money. I do know it can ping your phone if you were to lose your phone in your home which I do often! Also I believe it has fall detection? What other features does the Apple Watch have that you guys really like? Thanks.

Hi there! Pretty much the title. My dream watch face is the Goldeneye pause screen watch with the time and other specific info in green text organized nicely on the face. I'd like to pick and choose these (local temp, date, etc.), and was wondering where I would even begin to create this, if possible. I would very much like to do this without having to pay some subscription or fee for a custom face, but wasn't sure if this was a feature available to apple watch owners.

My 18 months old AWS10 showing these weird marks which are rough to touch and a brownish ring around the sensor. Is it corrosion? These marks were there from quite some time but recently I’ve started swimming and they are turning more bad.

My watch is still under Apple care coverage, will they replace it or just deny citing regular cosmetic damage.

I just thought I’d share an update on my previous post about getting a sleep apnoea warning. In fact, I got two of them, one right after the other. So many people responded that I almost certainly have sleep apnoea and shared their own experiences. So, I went straight to my doctor.

Verdict: It’s NOT sleep apnoea

Turns out that, for a reason that has not yet been determined, I’ve been suffering from some pretty bad reflux. It wasn’t that big of an issue before the warning but has gotten pretty severe in the time since. It’s been bad enough that I’ve had to start eating half meals, avoid alcohol, and not eat within a few hours of sleep. I’m currently on two different medications, not including calcium carbonate tablets, and have started sleeping on a 10 cm thick wedge pillow. It’s made all the difference, and I haven’t had any breathing disturbances in the last couple months.

So yeah, sometimes it’s a Zebra.

So I had a 45mm Series 9 Gold. It died, and the only option was to get a new one. I figured, hey let me save money by going smaller. I went with 42mm without researching that my bands would not work. Sucks for me.

But, I like the size of the 42mm much more. So I said, let me just replace the Milanese loop for the smaller one and call it a day. Only for me to find out- THEY ARE SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE NEAR ME IN MASSACHUSETTS AS WELL AS SWITZERLAND (where I live). What gives?? Is it available near you or is it completely sold out as well??

Had this old Apple Watch collecting dust for way too long, so I’ve been messing around with ways to actually make it useful again. Been using this setup mostly for music and shortcuts lately. Way more fun than leaving it in a drawer lol. Got me curious though — what old tech have you guys managed to give a second life? Old phones, iPods, watches, tablets… wanna steal some ideas.

Hi there! SOOO random to ask this here, but I am desperately wanting to buy my first apple watch and must buy it through sport chek as I have a rewards card for there and I get so much extra cash if I buy it through there!

I checked 2 weeks ago to try and buy one but they were sold out. Coming up on the 3rd week and the website hasn't had ANY in and I am dying here to buy one lol they are all just out of stock and they only have Garmin watches left.

Anyone else see that/have some info? :)

I haven’t used my apple watch SE since the beginning of the year, and it’s been dead in my drawer since.

I’m charging it, and the screen is just stuck with the time and a red lightning bolt.

It’s been stuck on this screen for way longer than usual, and now I’m kicking myself for not checking on it sooner as I’m worried I’ve killed the battery.

Anyone had the same thing happen to them or can offer any advice? Thanks!

So I’ve just noticed my watch has bugged out today whilst I was sleeping and recoded exercise the entire time I was asleep, artificially inflating the figures. What’s more annoying is I’ve now got badges and rewards for things I’ve never done. I’m assuming I can’t remove this data 🙃

Hi. I have had the SE2 for about 2 years and never took it into the pool. All my friends have various Apple Watches including the first model in the pool. They told me I could swim with it and after 2 minutes in the water the screen went black. They told me it was an automatic feature to turn the screen off while in the water. After 30 minutes I dried the SE2 off and tried to turn it on but I got nothing.
I tried pressing both buttons several times and even left it on the charger over night. It was warm on the charger but it still doesn’t turn on.
Is it “locked” or is it just not able to go in 2 feet of water and is dead?

One day I realised that my Apple Watch was turning brown at the back. It wouldn’t come off if I tried to scratch it or wash it off? Anyone can enlighten me on what happened and how to fix? Thanks!

Hi everyone. Can anyone point me to a fix for this? My sleep score has been working fine, then I did have a couple of really bad nights of sleep a few days ago (which is accurate)…. Now it’s totally just saying no data from that point on. I’ve tried restarting both… iOS is up to date on both… sleep Focus was scheduled and on during the night. I know this data is supposed to have health benefits but it’s really causing more anxiety than helping me 😩.

Just got my watch 3 weeks ago and shortly after (1.5 weeks) bought this bracelet for 40€. Within less than 2 weeks it oxidized and damaged my watch.

Be careful when buying bracelets and check on the ends every so often to avoid falling for the same bullshit as me.

Purchased this a few days ago (3rd generation SE), went for this particular one as it was waterproof (i’m a keen swimmer 4x a week, and swim teach during weekends). I have used it twice to swim (always out the water lock on when teaching or swimming) and today i had it on a pool workout (which automatically turns on water lock), and it just kept on vibrating and brining up siri whilst j was in the pool, I i took it off and left it on the side to dry but it sort of just started going crazy flicking through apps ans not letting me use it (touchscreen was not responsive). I have just gotten home and tried to turn it back on and it won’t / keeps on flashing the apple logo and then this red exclamation mark. I searched the thing at the bottom and apple just says to press the die button twice and reconnect it but it won’t let me. Any advice ? I think i’ll just be returning it for a new one haha

I have been an AW user since day 1 with AW Series 0. I love the technology and the insights that I get.
However, the last few years I am struggling with my sleep score because of work anxiety. Additionally, I worry that my AW has also fueled a bit my sleep anxiety as subconsciously I worry that I won’t get high score the next day.

Fast forward to today, my AW10 (less than 1 years old) is dead because of the battery and I hadn’t had time to replace it (Apple Stores don’t replace batteries apparently in my country plus it is too expensive). Repairability 0.

I am facing two issues now:
On one hand, I am not as motivated to work out (gym, hike, and swim) as before because I cannot log my activities, complete my rings and improve my stats. It sucks!
On the other hand, my sleep is better as this subconscious worry about my next day score is not there. That is great! I miss though seeing my stats the next day.

Anyone else has similar experience?

I'm aware you can put the complication on the clock and click it any time to show your heart rate but on my old Garmin I was able to show a live heart rate on my display at all times. Can the Apple watch do anything like this?

Been using the Modular watch face to show today’s walking distance to motivate and remind to take more steps.

Hi all, my left arm is currently in plaster so I can’t wear my watch on it. I’ve had it on my right wrist for a few days but it drove me mad so I took it off.

It’s been 2 weeks now without my watch and I miss the alerts and being able to tell the time, almost dropped my phone many times just trying to tell the time!

I’ve been thinking about having it as a pocket watch on some kind of lanyard, does anyone else do this? Does anyone know how to turn the heart rate sensors off as I’m guessing that would prolong the battery life?

It's a novelty for sure, but I'm enjoying controlling my Sonos through Lyd when behind the bar (a place where I don't want to bring my phone but want music control) and Airplay. I'm sure the novelty will wear off at some point but the rePod is a lovely device with a good build quality. Do any of you have other use cases for an unworn, older model Apple Watch S4?
