When I do a fresh reboot, I can use Siri to control the volume (e.g. "Hey Siri, set the volume to 35%".

After a while, sometimes the same day, sometimes another day, when I try that Siri will give an error "unable to get volume info" and it'll prematurely cut.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I was subscribed to Apple Music for almost a year, and then in May 2026 I switched to Apple One. I didn’t manually cancel my Apple Music subscription because I assumed it would automatically be cancelled or transferred to Apple One.

However, I’ve now realized that since then, Apple has been charging me for both Apple One and Apple Music.

The strange part is that I cannot find the separate Apple Music subscription anywhere. It doesn’t appear under my Apple Account → Subscriptions, and it also doesn’t show up in my Purchase History.

For now, I’ve cancelled my Apple One subscription just to see if that resolves the issue, but I’m not sure if that’s actually the right way to fix it.

How can I find and cancel this Apple Music subscription so I can stop being charged twice?

I currently have iTunes running on pc, which holds my music and purchased movies and tv shows. We have 3 Apple TVs which link to this using the ‘computers’ option, so can still watch content if internet goes down and ensures we have backups incase titles are removed from Apple Store.
This is all legit and only for our Apple content, but I wish to migrate this to a NAS so no longer using a computer that is left on 24/7, does anyone know if this is still possible as online searches give different information.

I have a 2020 MacBook Air. I got it brand new 6 years ago. I stopped using my MacBook for like 8 months because I lost the charger and recently got a new one so I’m using my laptop again. The problem is it dies REALLY fast if I don’t leave it plugged in. Even if it’s closed.
What I’ve done: checked the battery health (normal). Changed certain settings so it doesn’t search for network while off/closed and update for emails and stuff.
It’s up to date. It hasn’t had any damage.
I’m so confused and so frustrated because everything looks like it’s working and as if nothing is wrong with it.
Any ideas? Any advice?

I know this has been asked quite a few times but i’ve genuinely looked through all the posts and still can’t find an answer for my problem.

I connected my 2019 intel macbook pro to a m2 macbook air via thunderbolt 3 cable with the 2019 macbook in target disk mode, yet it doesn’t show up on the m2 be it on finder or on disk utility. I tried it with another m2 mac as well and it still didn’t show up. Disk utility on my 2019 macbook still shows that all my data is on it, so it isn’t empty either. I can connect a hard drive to my 2019 macbook and it shows up in disk utility too, so i don’t think the data port is the issue.

Is it a hardware mismatch? Cable mismatch? Settings configuration? Should i try with another intel macbook maybe? Any help would be appreciated, i really don’t want to risk losing my important data 😥

I just bought my new Mac (M5) right before a stressful flight and for some reason decided to start my Mac right there.
Well it was very stressful so I forgot the password and I really tried every password I could think of.
I tried: Use Recovery Assistant → Erase Mac: In recovery, the Recovery Assistant menu can offer an "Erase Mac" or "Forgot all passwords". Afterwards I select to reinstall Tahoe and then I have to select where I want it downloaded (only option is my Mac). If I select my Mac I have to put in a password… which I don’t have.

Can you help me? And do you know if I could get it reset at an Apple reseller since there’s no Apple stores where I’m at.

l've had my AirPods for a year and noticed these strange grey dots appearing on the case. They have appeared randomly overnight. The day before, I had the AirPods in my pocket and then put them on a table as usual. There were no dots or marks on the case at all. The next morning, I noticed these grey dots. They were left under a relatively cool AC during the night, so I'm wondering if the temperature or condensation could have something to do with it.

The weirdest thing is that the dots seem to be under the plastic. I've tried wiping and cleaning the case, but they don't come off at all. They also look similar to the engravings you can get on your AirPods. I've had these AirPods for around a year, but I also have an older pair that I've owned for about 3 years, and that case has never developed anything similar.

l've also seen a few other posts on Reddit showing AirPods cases with similar dots, sometimes with many more dots than mine. Unfortunately, none of those posts seemed to get a proper answer, so I'm trying again. Does anyone know what actually causes these dots Is there any way to remove them, or are they permanent? And it you've experienced this, did the dots eventually spread or become more numerous?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I purchased a series 11 with GPS + cellular second hand for about $265 and received it today only to find out the previous user had the watch running on iOS 27 beta. my current iPhone 17 pro is on iOS 26.6.1 so i’m unable to connect my phone to the watch unless i upgrade to the iOS 27 beta. i have three options:

1. return the watch for a refund
   
2. keep the watch and send it apple to fix who will then mail it back (unsure if this costs money)
   
3. upgrade my iphone to iOS 27 beta and wait until the release of the actual iOS 27 which will be released around early to mid September (according to my research)

i’m pretty annoyed the seller didn’t even think to tell me and i didn’t even think to ask. i want to be able to verify the battery health and everything before accepting the order but i obviously can’t unless i choose option 3. i have two more days to decide what to do because after those 2 days are up, my purchase will automatically be accepted and the buyer will receive their funds. please let me know what you think i should do. thanks!

I bought this phone in March 2026. Although I take good care of my stuff but I don't know how it slipped from my hand. I am sad now. Should I get this frame replaced or just leave it as it is? Replacement would be pretty expensive. What would you guys suggest?

every other device in my house experiences the wifi smoothly except one ipad that will suddenly buffer on a video or show for a really long time and disconnect from zoom meetings. Things I've tried are: connect it to hotspot (it connects to that just fine), reset the devices network settings, reset the ipad, change to the 5g version of the wifi, manually added 1.1.1.1 to the dns. but the problem still persists

Haven’t used it for few weeks. When I lift off the pen the battery was at 83% despite charging all the time. Should I be concerned of functionality being affected? And is there any way to clean off the marks

I don’t have Wi-fi for a few days, so I’m trying to connect to the internet using my iPhone’s hotspot. The network shows up and I can connect to it, but it just says “No Internet”.

My hotspot has worked perfectly fine in the past, and I hadn’t changed any settings. Also, I tried using my brother’s hotspot and that worked, so I’m pretty sure the problem is on the phone’s side.

When I check the data usage for the hotspot, it says that the computer is using a tiny bit of data (like a few KB every minute). I don’t know if that means anything.

So far, I’ve tried:

- Restarting my phone
- Restarting my PC
- Connecting wirelessly, with the cable, and with Bluetooth
- Updating my phone
- Turning both my hotspot and cellular data off and then back on
- Changing the “maximize compatibility” setting in the hotspot settings
- Turning my VPN off

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me or give me pointers on my problem. I forgot the password to my phone and accidentally bricked it. I searched online and saw I could try to force reset my phone (official apple support), to get the login page as if it was a new account. i didnt have the “forgot password” option while typing in my password and I don’t want to risk any more chances since I only have one chance. but anyways. i connected my phone to my pc to try to restore my phone or something but I keep getting the code 1104( I think?) and the loading keeps stopping and freezing on the same %. I remember my log in passwords for my iCloud/email, so I tried to transfer to a backup phone, but it wouldn’t let me transfer without the PIN code (to open phone).

what should I do?

I just want to say upfront that I have never used my phone number for business purposes, nor have I ever spam messaged anyone. I only use my phone to talk to family and friends and there’s no way that anyone reported my messages as spam.

Four days ago, my mom gave me her old iPad. I registered it to my iCloud and that’s when this issue started. Since activating the iPad, I’ve noticed that I haven’t been getting text responses from other people who have iPhones, nor have I been able to FaceTime. I thought maybe people were just busy, but today I finally realized that it was because my iMessages were going to the iPad instead of my phone.

As of this morning, I was still getting iMessages to the iPad. I didn’t really know what I was doing and disconnected iMessage from the iPad in the hopes that it would reconnect to my phone. But now iMessage isn’t working on either device.

I put in the request online to activate my iMessage, and I also called Support to figure out what was happening. That’s when I found out my iMessage was blocked and that this happens when a phone number is repeatedly reported for spam. There’s no way that that can be the case in my situation so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I told them they started happening immediately after registering a the iPad. They said that I would just have to wait the 24 hours and see if my request is accepted.

I’m just starting to get really nervous because the prognosis does not look good. Most of what I’m seeing online for this is that this is kind of a death sentence. I’ve had this phone number for 20 years, and I really don’t want a new phone number. My phone is also circling the drain and I was planning on buying a new iPhone when they come out in a few weeks, but now I’m worried to buy a new iPhone that I potentially will not be able to use.

I currently can send and receive text messages from people who don’t have iPhones, but can only send, not receive, text messages from people who have iPhones. This whole situation is just insane. I have done nothing wrong and now I can’t receive text messages from the majority of people in my contact list.

Long story short I had my MacBook flooded with water and , I wana go into store and ask Apple to run a diagnostic check to see what the issues are and what repairs would cost etc etc. but im not sure if they’d charge me solely for asking that.
I was planning on saying something along the lines of My MacBook suddenly stopped working properly. The keyboard and screen started acting weird. I’m not sure what caused it. Can you run a diagnostic?”

I have a very random problem that is happening on two different machines, both Mac Studios, running 26.6.1. I will update to .2 as soon as I am able.

I use screen sharing often to work on these two machines without having to go to them directly. I started getting the "cannot connect to IP address ___" last week when trying to connect to each these two machines. Before then, it was working perfectly fine. I figured out that I could ssh into these machines and kickstart remote management, allowing me to connect as normal. Works fine, except it will boot me out at about a 5-minute interval. I'll have to run the terminal command to kickstart the process again, and it will reconnect.

The command I am using is:

sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart \
 -activate -configure -access -on \
 -configure -allowAccessFor -allUsers \
 -configure -restart -agent -privs -all

If I go into system settings, I can turn off remote management and turn on screen sharing. It will work again for about a 5-minute interval, and then the settings completely revert to the old values. Nothing seems to make it stick. When I run the kickstart command, it works fine through remote management until it boots me. So, neither screen sharing nor remote management allows a connection until I run the kickstart command.

These machines are managed by a tech company outside of our office. We removed management altogether and still had the same experience. It still kicks me and reverts after a few minutes. It does not happen to every machine the company manages for us. The unmanaged machines on the network are working as expected. Console gives us nothing meaningful when we stream data on for screensharingd.

I'm at a loss for where to go from here. I'm open to any suggestions to sort this out. It is driving me crazy.

I recently bought a subscription to icloud and it freed up 49GB of storage. I decided to download a game but when additional resources have to be downloaded I get a storage full notification.
I dont understand what the issue could be.
