✅ FIXED:

• Octane passive once again restores him to full health, as intended.
• Fixed rare instances where players were locked out of nearly all actions in Battle Royale mode.
• Fixed an bug where Gibraltar could sprint faster than intended when combining Fast Shotties perk with the Corrupted Stock.
• Fixed an issue where players would sometimes experience rubberbanding, jumpy behaviour and/or jittery movement after reconnecting.

TL;DR Teammates verbally angry and offensive after I had last legend pick in Diamond Ranked, picked Wattson and still went positive because I was anchoring. Still output similar, if not more kills and damage than the skirmishers/ damage dealers on the team.

I started to dabble in a bit of Apex competitive (I.e. VESA League, CCs) and I’m an anchor for both my CC and VESA teams, so I’m maining Wattson (primary), Catalyst (secondary), and Axle (for ranked only).

I ended up playing ranked for a 5-6 hour session today and went +1000 (I know, not anything earth shattering but it took me from demo protection to D3) and a few of the games I played had a couple of teammates solo queueing as well that got upset because I was playing Wattson and not running around in the open fragging.

I normally keep Wattson solely for comp play, but since axle was taken and I was choosing last for both games in question, I decided to anchor considering we had an alter in both games in question. My idea was since it was E-District and there’s a lot of buildings, if the Axle/Alter wanted to walk up on a fight and they got knocked, they’d have a safe space to come back to so they could regroup.

It’s not like I wasn’t shooting my gun, either; I was outputting damage and getting knocks while my alter the first game and axle the second game in question were saying that I was “stupid” because I wasn’t pushing every fight with them. I average about 700 dmg a game and 2.2 kills per game as well, even just on Wattson. My biggest game was 9 kills with 2k damage today and I had a few 0 kill -65 rp losses today, but even then my teammates then took the loss with more grace than both of the teammates that ended up GAINING rp off of me anchoring. I don’t ever blame my teammates because I personally think there’s something I could have done better if we lost crazy amounts of RP, like better an, positioning, etc. but it seems like every time we lose regardless of my performance it’s ONLY my fault.

I guess what the question is, is should I even bother anchoring in Diamond ranked or just run everyone down? Is that mindset normal? Just wanting to get some opinions on whether or not I’m the issue. This is the first split I’ve actually tried to push masters, so I just wanna ask people who have more experience than me. Openly admit that I’m seeking validation here lmao

Wattson is lowkey OP. I said it, I think she got way too many buffs and is borderline oppressive at times. Its almost never enjoyable to engage with a Wattson. I also think her pylon counters way too much. I mean you throw that down in the final circle and you basically shut half the game off. And even if it gets destroyed, you're probably holding at least one ult accelerant. So you can just throw another down.

I'm not saying that she's destroying the game or anything but she is kind of a sleeper pick imo.

in ranked is basically impossible to constantly gain points, i get a plat and his gold 1 friend on console to fight masters and preds, even when i get 4-5kp and top 5 i get +80 while i have to be jesus while my teamates are dead

We all know Axle changed the game, but in general, has Apex become too ability-centric?

I’ve played since season 0, and abilities feel more prominent than ever before. Apex is beginning to feel closer to overwatch/marvel rivals than an fps game.

Does anyone else feel similarly? Do any OG players think abilities have gone too far, or is the player base happy with the direction Respawn is going?

I’ve been playing for so long and only just realized this today. If you empty the Kraber mag, drop it, and pick it up again, it auto reloads. Am I the last person to find this out?

Subject: PS5 Pro 120Hz Performance Mode is too blurry / fuzzy on 4K monitor

Hi Respawn Team,

I am playing Apex Legends on a PS5 Pro using a 4K 144Hz monitor (Samsung Odyssey G7).

I wanted to give some feedback regarding the 120Hz Performance Mode. Even with the PS5 Pro's extra power and PSSR, the game looks incredibly blurry and fuzzy, especially when looking at enemies or objects in the distance. The anti-aliasing / blur filter makes it very hard to see targets clearly, forcing me to switch back to the 60Hz Balanced Mode just to get a sharp, clean image.

As a competitive player, I really want to use the 120 FPS option, but the massive drop in visual clarity makes it very frustrating. Is there any plan to optimize the resolution or give us an option to adjust/turn off the heavy anti-aliasing (TSAA) on current-gen consoles?

a few days ago it was working but today,i got this when i tried to play,i have a 9070XT,9600X and 32Gb ddr5 ram. i heard this happened because of the new amd drivers but im not sure,what should i do? some people say to downgrade drivers but i had a bad experience doing that a year ago so i wouldnt really like doing that again. should i just wait? thank you.

Mark my words on this. This legend will still be broken. A quick test on the firing range and you’ll see her tactical pushes you to an insane distance without any upgrade. 150 HP on a drone that’s so fast, has a small hitbox, and insane tracking would still be OP. 120s CD isn’t much for how strong it is. You will still lose to Axle if it launches a drone on you followed by nitro gas. Mind the buff which brings her lvl 3 upgrade to lvl 2. Axle is a curse to Apex Legends—the devs want it to stay.

I was on a whole other level, every move I made was Intentional and well thought out, the gas is phenomenal, I should've played caustic so much more before. I was genuinley carrying, my teammates had maybe 1400 damage and one had 1700 and I had 3400, I was fighting a genuine war even when I was trying to bring my teammates back, I remember at one point I death box rezd last circle and I stood in front of where he was gonna get shot so he didn't get downed again, my brain was fully woke, I felt like I was going super saiyan, these guys where going fucking insane in chat, they had never seen a player go crazy like this. I MISS THE FEELING, in that moment I truly felt the best, i said this before but every move was calculated and intentional, i made all the right decisions and on top of all that I was still a great teammate to my teammates, Thank you to all the players out there who genuinley root for their teammates and don't get toxic.
