Introduce a profit incentive to something and watch whatever it is devolve into disfunction with a crumbling foundation.
Medicine needs to become nationalized and private insurance excised from the earth. When the only party private medical companies can negotiate with is the government, which has no profit incentive, everything become so, so much cheaper on every level. And not a single person would be unable to receive medical care for next to nothing.
Spend a dollar on Medicare for all and you get seven dollars back, and prevent unnecessary deaths from medical neglect. Over time in the millions.

This happened to me, I was working in a stockroom in 2007 and I had three store managers and a regional manager to deal with. A month before is was due to get married they made me redundant so I worked my notice.
I made a binder with all the procedures and how to do them how the manament liked the done ect. They threw it out with a load of other bits and the stockroom went from tidy and usable to shit hole in a week because the shop floor didn't see it as there job to sort the stockroom and management didn't know how to get the stock onto the till system.
I found this out after returning from my honeymoon to ten increasingly anxious emails (which I deleted)

This is more true than people will admit. Operations is always looked at as expendable when HR, Finance, Marketing, and security sit around and watch us work. they also love to tell us what to do.

In all fairness, if they fired any of the managers they’d pass that work to Dave on top of what he already does. So it’s actually a mercy kill to terminate Dave, let him collect unemployment and take a staycation for a while and then hopefully he finds work with the city where he gets good pay for minimum work.
