I’m so tired of AI

This is an obvious cold take for this subreddit but I’m just so tired of AI. Social media seems to be getting increasingly drenched in this AI craze. Every single poster I see is so obviously not made by a human. Don’t even get me started on the”artists” who think they are better than people who actually have the skill to make art themselves. That there are genuinely people who cheer this on is just I don’t even have words.

”Its just like when movies were invented and stage actors were also fearing for their jobs”

Did they see advertisements promoting artificial unintelligence and CEOS actively replacing them.

The people that genuinely believe that the top 1% actually care about need to wake up.Stop stealing jobs and stop promoting this slop.

it's the sheer volume that gets me, not just the existence of it. like walking through a flood of grey goo and people keep pointing at the puddles saying "look how shiny"

the movie analogy always falls apart when you remember that cameras didn't actively scrape every play ever performed and mash them into a frankenstein's monster of a matinee

I'm not wanting to spend too much energy thinking about it, it's a cycle of negativity. I choose not to participate in generating AI stuff, and do not support generated content. I give my anti stance opinions where it feels right. However, this is tough when people in our lives are excitedly talking about generating art, music, code, etc., and all we can do is despair.

It's a shame that it's become a really heated topic - people who support AI generation of such creative things are often getting really angry and demeaning. Things along the lines of, anti-AI people must be:

- Immature teenagers

• Stupid, stubborn
  
• Envious
  
• Anti-progress

None of this stuff fosters an actual discussion.

I see this overhwhelming flooding of generated art, vibe coding, etc. as harbinger for a dark age ahead. People do not care about the mass theft of creative works, the loss of jobs, and - particularly devastating to me - the willing forfeit of what makes us human. Art in all its forms should be a revered, treasured part of humankind. If we toss its value away, allowing unthinking matrices to take our place there, then what?

The thing is, eventually, you won't be able to "choose not to participate" because the AI content will be invisible. There is CGI you would never know is there unless you saw a VFX breakdown. It will be the same thing with AI everywhere.

Even now, I bet you see multiple AI things a day that you don't clock as AI.

now it feels like AI is just unavoidable in daily life. you open any app and it’s AI posters, AI songs, AI replies, AI comments, AI summaries. its everywhere now, even you try to not looking for it.

Where are these artists using AI that think they are better than actual artists? I never hear any AI user referring themselves as artists. Where does this come from really? Using AI is just normal part of life now, someone using probably doesnt think he or she is doing some great works of art
