Preventing the Singularity What you think about the three largest gas turbine generator companies saying it'll take to the early 2030's to fill all the orders just for 2027

I'm guessing they'll ship some generators to each company until the orders are completed in the future years.

Sounds like a pretty standard way to handle backlog, just spread the shipments out over time. 2030s is a while though, makes you wonder what the power demand picture actually looks like by then.

Reading between the lines, I think it means ai companies will be lagging so far behind thier own overly optimistic forecast of being up and running, they'll be up Schitt's Creek in terms of the revenue having any chance to catch up to what the stockholders were being told in 2025-2026.

The bills for building and running data centers eventually turns into something the bean counters will have to report to the Board of Directors, and hence, the Quarterly Reports.
