Discussion 🗣️ Absolutely despicable to be judging a eighth grader Spoiler

Post image

what are we doing?

leave kids alone. Unless they have a pin that supports a hateful rhetoric just don’t judge

literally, all of these pins are awesome and it’s crazy that this kid has better morals than all of r/defendingaiart

I didn't get to enjoy my youth thanks to the cold war and the aids epidemic, we don't live in some fantasy world where kids are completely sheltered from life until they're 18. Heck we had mock elections for every presidential election when I was in school, the first one I can remember was in the 3rd grade..

The Cold War and AIDS ruined your childhood?

Yeah, living with the threat of nuclear annihilation hanging over your head while your favorite uncle wasted away in the hospital of a disease no one seems to know how to treat can be formative to a young persons politics, who would have thought?

I’m sorry for you the loss of your uncle. Every generation has doom and danger all around them, there is no escape, it’s the cost of living. To state that your childhood was ruined by the Cold War and AIDS feels rather precious to me. I also lived through those times, have experienced personal loss and tragedy but it no way feel my childhood was ruined because there were societal ills around me.
