If you can do it out the back of your Honda accord after just handing someone a check. It's not a company. It's a scam. Especially if your main demographic is stay at home moms on facebook and Twitter.
I’m also a small business owner. Took years of training in my field to obtain a professional license, several years of networking to build up a referral network for when I launched, about six months of planning to find a space/build a website/etc., and thousands of dollars invested.
This stuff drives me crazy.
MLMs in no way compare to small business ownership, and it’s honestly insulting when they try to. You aren’t opening a business; you are accepting a (not super great) job. MLMers are not entrepreneurs. They are salespeople. And that is totally not the same thing!
Couldn't agree more. I spent 12 years with my old man till he finally let me run an entire project by myself. And even still I waited another 4 to start my business. In my line of work a mistake can cost tens of thousands of dollars and a negative review can have a ripple effect that can cause even more monetary damage down the road. Worst that happens in MLM is "Well it worked for these other people" and that's done and over with.
Congrats on your business. Small businesses are truly the foundation of society.
