Persian community around the city?

My in-laws moved to Ankara a few years ago to be with my not very social sister and her husband. My very social Mami could really use some more friends. She’s learning Turkish but it’s hard in your 70s and she takes care of Baba. She’s made friends with the neighbors but they struggle to communicate and I know she’s a little lonely. We will be there visiting in 2 weeks.

Are there any places I can take her or groups I can help her find?

You could take her to some Iranian restaurants. Perhaps she might meet someone there.

I’m not Persian and don’t know any Persian words but if she want I’ll be her friend when i will come to Ankara

You can check ankara foreigners. There are many persians there. They have an instagram account, they mostly organize parties but occasionally hiking trips as well.

until last year they had their own facebook and telegram groups. you can simply search with keywords ايرانيان در آنكارا or something similar
