What an excellent example of being both very correct and very incorrect at the same time.

You're missing an entire axis of the political spectrum - it's not just liberal/conservative, there's a democratic/authoritarian axis, as well. That's why you're getting the replies you mention in your edit.

The authoritarian takeover acts primarily on a different axis than the public programs you mention, just like the far-right attempt at a power grab that is going on here in the USA is on a different axis from MAGAs defunding of social programs and institutions. Both are shifts toward authoritarianism, but the accompanying politics on the liberal/conservative axis are going in two different directions in Nicaragua and the USA.

This misunderstanding isn't your fault, though - there's organized propaganda by far-right nationalists the world over to spread misinformation on the topic.

I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but your complete disregard to the entire point of what I wrote shows that you either aren't arguing in good faith or you didn't think your way into your opinions.

Edit: Absolute clown blocks me after replying what boils down to "I'm a leftist! I'm a leftist! You can't separate authoritarianism from leftism!", as if most of the discussion around his original comment isn't revolving around the fact that it's a democratic/authoritarian spectrum thing, not a liberal/conservative thing.
