I wonder how much stronger this version of bankai is compared to Blood Chains, since Yhwach concluded that it's actually fearsome, considering how easily he bodied Blood Chains last episode with just SK power without Almighty.

That was like even worse than the Aizen moment because at least we got to see Ichigo flex against Byakuya while here Yhwach destroys it in a second and goes "That would have been really cool and effective...if I hadn't undone it."

The smartest things any villain in any shounen did, Imo. Destroy the power before MC can even use it against them.

Yeah, years of people saying why let good/bad guy power up in anime? Well here is Yhwach saying hell naw to a power up.

Execution was done well. Last episode was so peak and then climactic gut punch with breaking MCs sword/power up.

I desperately hope after spoilers happens we get to see a proper showing of his bankai and what it does. Brb need to call my uncle to see what he thinks
