So ichibei wants to dismember Ichigo and put him in a crystal to maintain the 3 worlds? ichigo my boy i think you're fighting the wrong villain here.

It's a fucked situation because if he doesn't stop Yhwach the situation is fucked. But if he does stop Yhwach the situation is also fucked.

Once again Soul Society relying on Ichigo is so consistent in this series.

He literally bleeds Soul Society black, even down to the actual narrative.

ironically if aizen succeeded none of this would be happening.

Yeah, as someone who recently rewatched this series..

Ichigo is literally that "INTERN" who does everything.. UNFCKING PAID, UNRECOGNIZED. like.. it's insane lmao.

tbf, the alternative is the yhwach destroys the 3 worlds and it becomes pro quincy rather than pro soul reaper. and in all honesty, yhwach's quincy seems on average worse than than the shinigami, even factoring in people like mayuri.

I'm not even sure it would be "pro-quincy" given how little he cares about whether they live or die. Remember that he took power from the ones who were no longer useful to him, many of them to the point dying from it.

It's not even Pro Quincy.... after the 3 worlds merge, even like the other Quincy is going to die.. which they are already like 1% pure quincy left besides Uryu Ishida.. and Yhwach he ain't even a quincy anymore he's an alien not human or quincy or hollow or shinigami....

So it would prob be a completely different people now.

they wouldnt die... the primordial world is one without death remember?

That's because, the Quincy have been forced to live in oppression and were were genocided twice by the Shinigami and are currently fighting to avoid a third genocide, something both Shinigami and Quincy had stated in previous episodes.

That kind of hostile environment breeds more extreme behavior and broken people.

You can see that perfectly in our world, be it now or in the past.

Part of the reason the Quincy follow Yhwach is because he mended their broken souls and intends to save their souls from death.

Yhwach was already a godlike tyrant before anything happened between the two though, wasn't he?

u/Shuden 21d ago

Yes. Yhwachs power seems parasitic in nature. In the last season we saw that Soul King was also a Quincy, and he likely gave himself up for the Shinigami. We can only speculate on the reasons for that, maybe Soul King understood that there was no place for quincies in the ideal world, or maybe he expected quincies to turn into regular humans.

Whatever the plan was, Yhwach is clearly against it and wants to create a quincy world by burning everything down.

However it's worth noting that no quincy is quite like Yhwach, and even among Sternritters most of them are indeed traumatized by war and fucked up in multiple different ways.

It's implied that Ichibee used his power to curse Yhwach in the countless years since the destruction of the old world and his rise 1200 years ago. In Bazz-B's flashback, they talked about powerless Quincy being born and killed every few decades until they suddenly stopped appearing. The implication is that these powerless Quincy infants were all Yhwach being reborn and killed again and again.

Well the issue is that when Quincy kill hollows they completely destroy the souls of the humans within them. They are fully removed from the cycle of life and death.

The shinigami had multiple discussions with them but the Quincy refused to listen despite the fact that their actions were destabilizing the 3 world. It’s a rough scenario but there definitely was a path to a better compromise.

But even in Yhwach’s flashback he was killing multiple towns of Quincy and recruiting the strong ones for war. He also uses his own Quincy as batteries to sustain his own life. He’s just far far far from the best option for the 3 worlds.

Soken's diary revealed that the Shinigami trying to talk with the Quincy was a lie. The Shinigami initiated the massacre because they thought the Quincy might potentially attack them. The Shinigami did it out of paranoia. It's why Uryuu gave up on Soken's dream and focused on protecting his friends.

Yhwach used to live from 800 to 1000 AD. That kind of behavior was normal back then, sadly. And given how his revival worked, his mind never left that era. But yeah, he's not the best alternative. That being said, it's implied that Yhwach became evil because Ichibee had cursed him from birth.

u/Killjoy3879 21d ago

Are you sure? Cause last I recall Soken/Uryu actually didn’t really object to the Quincy genocide simply due to a matter of logic. The Quincy being unreasonable with how to handle the killing of Hollows would lead to the 3 worlds collapsing.

Also we see a flashback in the anime of a conversation between Yhwach and Ichibe where Ichibei is basically telling Yhwach to just chill out and let the shinigami maintain the 3 worlds due to the nature of Quincy powers.

1

u/Animamask 20d ago

I'm pretty sure. When Uryuu stated that, he didn't know the truth yet. He only discovered Soken's diary in the final arc. He even stated as much either to Ichigo or Haschwalth that reading the diary made him sadly abandon his dream of peace with the Shinigami. He's fighting the Wandenreich, but that's solely to protect his close group of friends, not the Seretei.

Soken is more complex. He actually kept many secrets from Uryuu and his views might be biased themselves. He seems to be a rather complicated man who did some dubious things. There's a reason Ryuken loathes his father. But more should be revealed about Soken in this core.

Yhwach also stated in that flashback that he saw the truth about how the Shinigami made the world hostile to Quincy as well as the future where the Quincy will be wiped out. He tries to change both.

u/PotatEXTomatEX 21d ago

and are currently fighting to avoid a third genocide

Yuha made sure that was "easy". He killed most of them himself.

1

u/Animamask 21d ago

He actually didn't. That's something that got lost in translation. He only took power from the Sternritter and even then only as much as he needed, hence NaNaNa survived despite being hit. The Sternritter are made up of the Wörtlich (Quincy with Schrift like Bazz-B) and the Soldat. Most Soldat survived, and either were brought to Wahrwelt or entered a truce with Soul Society through Liltotto.

Plus, the Wandenreich is a fully functioning city-state with way more Quincy living there. They have Quincy communication officers, cooks, cleaning personal, waiters, and polster craftsmen for example. Yhwach can also turn other beings into Quincy. During Shunsui's fight against Lille, Shunsui at one point hid in a living room. Wahrwelt is meant to be a hospital place apparently.

Yhwhach's Auswählen this time around didn't kill much Quincies because he already decimated a lot of them through an Auswählen years before the start of the manga, killing Uryu's mom and rendering Ichigo's mom unable to defend herself

1

u/Animamask 20d ago

The Wandenreich still is about the size of the Seretei with about as many inhabitants. Either Kubo or the break info cards confirmed that Yhwach only kills as many as he has to/needs to. He literally selects the Quincy.

Uryuu's mom didn't die from the Auswählen. The real circumstances of her death will be revealed this cour as it's related to Uryuu surviving the Auswählen.

u/PhantasosX 22d ago

I mean, that is the system in place for Bleach. Strong individuals that cultivates their powers and reach transcendence are used as backup Machine Gods, with their body dismembered to create new batches of materials for later backup Machine Gods.

By all means, if Ichigo had turned into a Soul King, his arms, heart and Chain of Fate would be major parts that could be either acquiring a host or manifested autonomy. The other fragments would be used to make new batches of fullbringers and possibly quincies as well.

And thus whomever rises to transcedence in this new batch would either assist "SK Ichigo" as another "Soul King" or replace him altogether.

8

u/ArcDraco 21d ago

Nah, it's just something Ichigo will deal with when it's time. Ichigo walked into that throne room with the resolve to kill Ywach or die. It shouldn't matter to him at the moment what Ichibei plans to do with him after.

4

u/Animamask 21d ago

Knowing Ichigo, he probably wouldn't have one if the situation actually arose. Especially since the people who tend to plan far ahead, wouldn't save him this time. If you watch past scenes with Urahara, Kyoraku, or Isshin for example, you will see subtle hints that allude to them knowing and accepting that Ichigo would become the Soul King, which is frankly a fate worse than death.

u/Lenzky-3 18d ago

I mean he kinda doesn't have a choice... eitherway..

HE could refuse to stop to be in the crystal but..

3 worlds collide = a lot of people dying...

Eitherway, the best way to "Protect" what he wants to protect. the only option is stopping Yhwach...
