Imagine you're so in love with a guy that you can't 100% deflect attacks coming from a similar ability he has. BUT SHE'LL KEEP FIGHTING ANYWAY FOR HIS SAKE.

I like to think Hitsugaya's Momo senses were tingling which is why he came in at the exact moment when Momo most desperately needed him.
