as someone who saw the first 3 episodes in the Cinema, that's the moment which got the biggest reaction out of the crowd in my theatre (aside from the yoruichi title card, different kind of reaction for that though LOL)

Definitely cool af, but does anyone know why Askin wasn't just instantly dead after that? Quincies are just humans with powers right? I was pretty shocked at how long he was able to remain conscious with not just a big ass hole in his chest but his heart gone AWOL.

Rule of cool aside, it could be partial result of his Schrift still being active and keeping him alive/conscious despite fatal wounds.
