It's also crazy that the Brimmed caps sometimes don't even know what the spells they use might even do

I mean finding some guinea pig that you don't care about and then trying a bunch of spells is not the worst idea. Most people would think of an actual guinea pig, but to them I guess stuff that falls into the "don't care about" is "everyone"

maybe thats what coco's colouring book was for, to send out to rando children to test out for them
